Killzone Shadow Fall PC v0.2.0
Killzone Shadow Fall PC v0.2.0 for Windows 10/11.
Included
- Redesigned launcher with graphics, controls, player options and cheats.
- Native, TAA and FSR 3.1 AA; output resolutions up to 4K; FSR 3.1 2x frame generation.
- Anisotropic filtering, distant texture sharpness, FSR 1 scaling and RCAS sharpening.
- Third person, freecam and selectable character appearances, including models loaded from other chapters.
- Unlimited health, infinite ammo/no reload, unlimited sprint and continuous Tactical Echo marks.
- Persistent shader caching and startup precompilation.
- Updated default keyboard bindings and separate mouse/controller settings.
Install or update
- Download and extract KillzoneShadowFall-PC-Windows-v0.2.0.zip into a writable folder.
- Open Killzone Launcher.exe and select your decrypted CUSA00190 / 01.81 game dump.
- Choose your settings and press Play Game. First-time game preparation runs automatically.
The package includes Python/Tk and the required runtime DLLs. Game files, saves, settings, shader caches and diagnostic captures are excluded. Keep your existing user folder when updating.
Notes
- Frame generation increases displayed FPS; game simulation FPS is shown separately. The scene renders at 1080p; higher output resolutions use FSR.
- Some models still have hand, face or accessory deformation. Some scripted actions briefly return to first person. Model jump/drop behavior needs further testing.
- Shader/streaming stutters and temporal image artifacts can remain. Hardware beyond the development PC needs more testing.
- Continuous Tactical Echo requires one manual activation after each load; it does not aim weapons. Scripted deaths can still occur.
- Offline Botzone has limited testing; online multiplayer and PSN are unsupported.
Validation: native build, 36 Python checks, graphics/input/UI/format tests, camera and model-pose checks, player-cheat checks, packaged runtime imports/startup, ZIP contents and SHA256 verification. A clean Windows installation has not been tested for this package.
The repository uses main as its only branch. Source, build instructions, controls and known limitations are in the README.
Killzone Shadow Fall PC — Windows Beta 0.1.1
Optional starter shader cache — single-PC test
Cache updated: 32,972 pipelines and 10,825 shader variants, collected during additional gameplay on the same tested PC. GPU-driver binaries remain excluded.
Added KillzoneShadowFall-PC-CUSA00190-01.81-StarterCache-beta0.1.1.zip
(approximately 102 MiB compressed / 305 MiB extracted). This is a separate,
optional cache for the existing Beta 0.1.1 Windows package; the executable is unchanged.
Tested ONLY on: AMD Ryzen 5 7500F, AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT, 32 GB RAM,
Windows 11 Home build 26300, GPU Windows driver 32.0.31041.1004,
game CUSA00190 / 01.81. Other PC specifications, GPUs and drivers are untested.
In a separate release installation on this PC, the shader-loading progress appeared
and the tester reported less stuttering. This is not a cross-hardware result or benchmark.
Install the optional cache
-
Extract the regular Beta 0.1.1 Windows package first. Close the game.
-
Back up an existing
user/cache/CUSA00190folder before replacing it. -
Extract the starter-cache ZIP beside
Killzone Launcher.exe, merging itsuser/cache/CUSA00190/path into the installation. -
Open the launcher, select your own decrypted CUSA00190 / 01.81 dump and press
PLAY GAME. Allow Loading shader cache... to finish on compatible systems.
-
Keep the installation's
userfolder between launches.
Contains 32,972 pipeline entries and translated shader metadata/binaries plus the
compatibility profile. No saves, personal settings, game executables/assets or
GPU-driver pipeline binaries are included. This is game-derived rendering cache
data; driver pipeline binaries are generated locally. Compatibility checks remain
enabled: other systems may reject the cache and compile during gameplay. Missing
pipelines, streaming and other work can still cause stutters. A SHA-256 file is attached.
Fixes the first-launch Setup incomplete error from Beta 0.1.0.
What changed
-
Select your game folder and press PLAY GAME. The launcher now prepares the game automatically on first launch, shows preparation status, then starts the game.
-
Preparation runs without freezing the launcher and keeps a detailed failure log at
out/prepare-game.log. -
Game-folder changes trigger fresh preparation. Failed setup does not leave a partially generated game image marked ready.
-
Bundled Windows Python setup now retains its output correctly when started through the windowless launcher.
Install
Extract the entire Windows ZIP into a writable folder, open Killzone Launcher.exe, select your decrypted CUSA00190 / 01.81 dump, then press PLAY GAME. Include all_programs.prx, sce_module and sce_sys in the dump. Start with Standard, 60 FPS and Native. Python and runtime DLLs are included; no MSYS2 installation is needed.
Existing saves are under user/. Keep that folder when upgrading. The base Windows package contains no game files or personal data.
Validation
Clean first-launch tests with the bundled console and windowless Python runtimes prepared the real dump and continued into session startup. Generated boot-linked.bin and content.bin match the working development images exactly. Bundled launcher/runtime startup, ZIP integrity and all manifest hashes passed. No gameplay/runtime changes in this hotfix.
Beta limitations remain: variable performance and stuttering, experimental temporal AA, limited Offline Botzone verification, and no online multiplayer/PSN support. A SHA256 checksum file is attached.
For Beta 0.1.0 users who do not want to redownload immediately: run Prepare Game.bat once, enter your dump folder, then reopen the launcher.
Killzone Shadow Fall PC — Windows Beta 0.1.0
Superseded by Beta 0.1.1, which prepares the game automatically on first launch. For this older build, run Prepare Game.bat before pressing Play.
First Windows beta of Killzone Shadow Fall for PC.
Install
- Download and extract the Windows ZIP completely to a writable folder.
- Run Prepare Game.bat and enter the folder containing your own decrypted CUSA00190 / version 01.81 dump. Include
all_programs.prx,sce_moduleandsce_sys. - Open Killzone Launcher.exe. Start with Standard, 60 FPS and Native anti-aliasing.
Python, Tkinter, Pillow and runtime DLLs are bundled. Players do not need Python or MSYS2 installed. Requires 64-bit Windows 10/11 and a Vulkan 1.3 capable GPU/driver. No game files, saves, personal settings or shader caches are included.
Included
- Campaign timing, dialogue synchronization, chapter-transition and Chapter 9 allocation fixes. The campaign has been completed on the development machine.
- Foliage rendering fixes, persistent shader caches and startup precompilation.
- 30/60/120 FPS caps, graphics settings, Killzone launcher and in-game overlay.
- Controller and mouse sensitivity, ADS/axis controls, sprint turning, deadzones and response curves.
- Motion-blur switch, unlimited player health and infinite ammo options.
- Startup menu compatibility fixes and the missing statistics import that crashed Offline Botzone startup.
Known limitations
Performance varies by scene and hardware; stuttering and graphics issues remain. Frame-rate settings are caps, not guaranteed performance. FSR 3.1 AA and TAA are experimental; use Native as the baseline. Offline Botzone has reached map loading/spawn selection on The Divide, but extended combat and other maps remain unverified. Online multiplayer and PSN services are unsupported.
Validation
Compiled native runtime, packaged launcher/setup imports and startup checks passed with MSYS2 removed from PATH. ZIP integrity and all manifest hashes were verified. manifest.json identifies the build source and packaged files. A SHA256 checksum file is attached.
