Killzone Shadow Fall PC — Windows Beta 0.1.1
Pre-releaseOptional starter shader cache — single-PC test
Cache updated: 32,972 pipelines and 10,825 shader variants, collected during additional gameplay on the same tested PC. GPU-driver binaries remain excluded.
Added KillzoneShadowFall-PC-CUSA00190-01.81-StarterCache-beta0.1.1.zip
(approximately 102 MiB compressed / 305 MiB extracted). This is a separate,
optional cache for the existing Beta 0.1.1 Windows package; the executable is unchanged.
Tested ONLY on: AMD Ryzen 5 7500F, AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT, 32 GB RAM,
Windows 11 Home build 26300, GPU Windows driver 32.0.31041.1004,
game CUSA00190 / 01.81. Other PC specifications, GPUs and drivers are untested.
In a separate release installation on this PC, the shader-loading progress appeared
and the tester reported less stuttering. This is not a cross-hardware result or benchmark.
Install the optional cache
-
Extract the regular Beta 0.1.1 Windows package first. Close the game.
-
Back up an existing
user/cache/CUSA00190folder before replacing it. -
Extract the starter-cache ZIP beside
Killzone Launcher.exe, merging itsuser/cache/CUSA00190/path into the installation. -
Open the launcher, select your own decrypted CUSA00190 / 01.81 dump and press
PLAY GAME. Allow Loading shader cache... to finish on compatible systems.
-
Keep the installation's
userfolder between launches.
Contains 32,972 pipeline entries and translated shader metadata/binaries plus the
compatibility profile. No saves, personal settings, game executables/assets or
GPU-driver pipeline binaries are included. This is game-derived rendering cache
data; driver pipeline binaries are generated locally. Compatibility checks remain
enabled: other systems may reject the cache and compile during gameplay. Missing
pipelines, streaming and other work can still cause stutters. A SHA-256 file is attached.
Fixes the first-launch Setup incomplete error from Beta 0.1.0.
What changed
-
Select your game folder and press PLAY GAME. The launcher now prepares the game automatically on first launch, shows preparation status, then starts the game.
-
Preparation runs without freezing the launcher and keeps a detailed failure log at
out/prepare-game.log. -
Game-folder changes trigger fresh preparation. Failed setup does not leave a partially generated game image marked ready.
-
Bundled Windows Python setup now retains its output correctly when started through the windowless launcher.
Install
Extract the entire Windows ZIP into a writable folder, open Killzone Launcher.exe, select your decrypted CUSA00190 / 01.81 dump, then press PLAY GAME. Include all_programs.prx, sce_module and sce_sys in the dump. Start with Standard, 60 FPS and Native. Python and runtime DLLs are included; no MSYS2 installation is needed.
Existing saves are under user/. Keep that folder when upgrading. The base Windows package contains no game files or personal data.
Validation
Clean first-launch tests with the bundled console and windowless Python runtimes prepared the real dump and continued into session startup. Generated boot-linked.bin and content.bin match the working development images exactly. Bundled launcher/runtime startup, ZIP integrity and all manifest hashes passed. No gameplay/runtime changes in this hotfix.
Beta limitations remain: variable performance and stuttering, experimental temporal AA, limited Offline Botzone verification, and no online multiplayer/PSN support. A SHA256 checksum file is attached.
For Beta 0.1.0 users who do not want to redownload immediately: run Prepare Game.bat once, enter your dump folder, then reopen the launcher.
