QDAY v1.0.0: SiaMining Activation
Mandatory mainnet upgrade. The new rules activate at block 9,100.
- Switches proof-of-work jobs to the compact SiaMining-compatible
4+4extranonce layout. - Gives pools transaction-aware templates and complete block submission.
- Adds atomic-swap contract support for direct exchange integrations.
- Keeps the existing genesis, balances, addresses and transaction history.
Nodes older than v1.0.0 stop following mainnet at activation. Upgrade before block 9,100.
QDAY v0.8.1: PUBLIC POOL SUPPORT
Public pool plumbing. No consensus change.
- Independent work for every Stratum worker.
- Exact block reward and fee metadata in block templates.
- Canonical block and maturity status for pool accounting.
- Idempotent multi-recipient payouts persisted before relay and kept alive through restarts and reorganizations.
Same mainnet. Same genesis. Existing nodes remain compatible. Public pool operators need QDAY v0.8.1 or newer.
QDAY v0.8.0: Expose Sia Stratum
your SiaMining-compatible hardware can finally mine $QDAY without treating the mempool like decorative furniture.
getblocktemplatenow exposes the complete encoded block and exact Merkle branch required by SiaMining Stratum.- The new
qday-stratumbridge turns it into GPU/ASIC work and submits the complete transaction-aware block. - Full setup and wire-protocol docs are published with the bridge.
same mainnet. same genesis. same consensus. no resync.
wallet users can skip this one. external GPU/ASIC miners need QDAY v0.8.0 or newer and qday-stratum v0.1.0.
QDAY v0.7.2: MOBY DICK
Big Hash Energy release. lots of fixes. everyone should update.
- Fixed local rebroadcast after restarts, long offline periods and chain reorganizations, within the existing 48-hour retry window.
- Fixed mempool admission, dependent transactions and recovery of valid transactions from reverted blocks.
- Reduced duplicate signature checks and relay traffic. Added limits on simultaneous heavy P2P requests.
- Added optional custom fees for sends, burns and PQ Day proofs. Auto remains the default.
- Improved coin selection, enabled up to 128 wallet inputs and fixed double-counting of dependent pending outputs.
- Fixed repeated peer-error popups and stalled controls. Locking immediately hides the wallet interface.
Update wallets, nodes and pool backends. Same mainnet, genesis and consensus. Existing wallets remain compatible. No resync required.
QDAY v0.7.1: The Mempool Has Object Permanence
A node that arrived after a transaction was first broadcast could sync the chain and completely miss the existing mempool.
The transaction was alive. The node was just born too late. Very philosophical. Bad networking.
What changed
- New and restarted peers receive the current mempool after they sync.
- Mempool changes are offered again while peers remain connected, including required unconfirmed parents.
- Sends, burns and PQ Day proofs all use the same path.
- Existing validation and duplicate suppression remain unchanged.
Compatibility
Same mainnet. Same genesis. Same consensus. Same wallet and chain data. No resync.
QDAY v0.7.0: Mining pools
If you want to run a QDAY mining pool, start here.
This release gives external pool software an official transaction-aware block template API. Stop building empty blocks by hand.
What changed
- Added authenticated
POST /api/miner/getblocktemplate. - Added authenticated
POST /api/miner/submitblock. - Templates include the miner payout, QDAY coinbase marker, mempool transactions, fees and block commitment.
- Long polling returns fresh work when the chain or mempool changes, or after 30 seconds.
- Locally submitted sends, burns and PQ Day proofs now survive node restarts and rebroadcast for up to 48 hours.
- Added the reproducible NUMS canary derivation tool and verification document.
Running a pool
- Replace your QDAY node with
v0.7.0. Existing wallets and chain data remain compatible. No resync is required. - Create or import the pool payout wallet and unlock it.
- Keep the API private on
127.0.0.1:19770. - Read the bearer token from
api.tokenin the QDAY data directory. - Request work:
POST /api/miner/getblocktemplate
Authorization: Bearer <api.token>
Content-Type: application/json
{"longpollid":""}- Send the returned
headerandtargetto your workers. The header is the complete 80-byte BLAKE2b-256 work item. - Repeat the request with the returned
longpollid. Replace worker jobs whenever the request returns. - When a worker finds a valid nonce, reconstruct the complete QDAY block and submit its Sia binary encoding:
POST /api/miner/submitblock
Authorization: Bearer <api.token>
Content-Type: application/json
{"params":["<hex-encoded-complete-block>"]}QDAY does not ship a Stratum server. Your pool controller translates Stratum or whatever ritual your workers speak into these two local endpoints.

Same mainnet. Same genesis. Same consensus. Ordinary wallets do not need this release to remain on the network.
Mining pools do.
QDAY v0.6.0: The Premine Found a Job
Minor release.
QDAY crossed kH/s, MH/s and GH/s. I burned 135,500 QDAY. Now the wallet lets everybody burn their own coins too.
What changed
- Burn QDAY: Settings now includes an irreversible burn flow with amount review and
BURNconfirmation. Coins are sent to the protocol’s unspendable void address. - Canonical supply API:
GET /api/supplyreports issued, burned, current, immature, circulating and maximum supply directly from the selected chain. - Stronger P2P: ordinary nodes accept more connections, seeds accept up to 256 inbound peers, and dead sockets no longer hang forever.
- Network status API: the local read-only endpoint reports synchronization and inbound/outbound connection counts without exposing wallet data.
- Better notifications: transaction messages have a close button and successful messages disappear automatically after 10 seconds.
- Website: the premine burn ritual is now public, and downloads always follow the latest release.

Compatibility
Same mainnet, genesis, wire magic and consensus rules. Existing wallets, seed phrases and v0.5.0 nodes remain compatible.
Builds
Wallets and nodes for Linux x86-64, Linux ARM64, Windows x86-64, macOS Intel and macOS Apple Silicon. Every archive includes a matching SHA-256 file.
Windows and macOS binaries are unsigned. Verify the checksum before telling the operating system to calm the fuck down.
QDAY v0.5.0 The Keys Are Still Breathing
PQ DAY IS INEVITABLE. YOU'RE CELEBRATING IT WITH ME.
QDAY mainnet is live.
Wallets
- Linux x86-64 and ARM64
- Windows x86-64
- macOS Intel and Apple Silicon
Standalone nodes
- Linux x86-64 and ARM64
- Windows x86-64
- macOS Intel and Apple Silicon
Every archive includes the fixed mainnet manifest, public protocol docs, dependency licenses and a matching .sha256 file. Extract the entire archive before starting it. Windows and macOS binaries are currently unsigned, so verify the checksum before you tell the operating system to stop panicking.
All ten archives were built on native GitHub runners. CI checked binary architecture, exact manifest bytes, genesis identity, archive safety and a live keyless handshake from both the wallet package and standalone node. CI did not create a wallet or mine.
