Somnia 12.0.1
Somnia 12.0.1
Hotfix release. 12.0.0 could start to a completely black window on every platform; 12.0.1 fixes the root cause. Everyone on 12.0.0 should update.
Fixes
- Startup: black window on launch (all platforms). The extension manifest validator compiled its JSON schema at app start with runtime-generated code (ajv uses
new Function), which Somnia's Content Security Policy correctly blocks. The renderer died before the first paint, leaving a black window. The manifest schema is now precompiled at build time and shipped as plain code. The CSP itself is unchanged and stays as strict as before - nounsafe-evalwas added. - Extensions fail closed instead of crashing. A command argument schema that cannot be compiled under the CSP is now rejected with a clear diagnostic instead of taking down the calling path.
Known issues
- Extensions that declare custom command argument schemas: calls into such commands are rejected with a clear error in this build, because runtime schema compilation requires
unsafe-eval. A non-codegen validator arrives with 12.1.0. Extensions without custom argument schemas are unaffected.
