Built from the full release-matrix CI run on the release commit: frontend e2e, native, macOS, Windows, Windows ARM64, Linux ARM64, all five CLI jobs, cli-checksums.

Highlights

• Studio shell wave 2: every studio now runs on the shared shell - panels, rails, inspector sections and header hero actions across Code, Documents, Sheets, Slides, Photos, Sound, Video, Vector, Design and Vibespace. File tabs are scoped per studio and every tab is closable.
• Header export and publish: hero actions across the studios - real DOCX save copy in Documents, hero Smart Formula in Sheets, fullscreen presentation in Slides, export review in Sound and Video, export copy popover in Photos, export setup in Vector and Design, Preview plus Publish panels in the Code studio.
• New AI providers: Grok (xAI), Meta Model API and DeepSeek join the agent providers and the CLI task-engine sidecar. Route limits and the local-provider privacy audit cover the new providers; the Vibespace model picker is refreshed with a wired Claude adapter.
• Bottom terminal: inline terminal in the bottom panel with real PTY shells and run streams (xterm.js, portable-pty), including a Windows build fix.
• Command terminal and docking: command terminal in the Code studio, workspace tab docking and isolated Code copy windows.
• Frameworks: project adapters for static sites, Vite, Astro, Next, SvelteKit, Nuxt and Node servers, with Publish panels, inspector sections and UI commands in the Code studio shell.
• Deploy hardening: server bootstrap requires a reviewed dry-run and preserves unrelated web servers - a setup never takes over another Caddy, nginx or Apache listener.
• CLI: new macOS aarch64 archive alongside Linux and Windows (x86_64 and aarch64).

Fixes

• Updater: same-core prerelease update detection restored.
• Extensions: the verified mark now comes from an explicit reviewed flag in the index; Wry-rewritten Windows scheme documents route correctly.
• Shell: hero commands refresh after studio registration and context changes; global tabs stay visible with consistent short names.
• CI: desktop command allow-lists, rail expectations and shell baselines updated for the merged command surface.

Known issues

• Installers remain unsigned; SmartScreen and Gatekeeper can warn.
• No Intel macOS build (Apple Silicon only).
• Deploy, frameworks and the Somnia CLI remain experimental.
• Studio export/playback/AI call sites do not acquire job leases yet; they run outside admission control in this build.
• The Transcript Hub shows "unavailable" until an optional helper release is published for the platform.

Install

• macOS: Somnia-v12.2.0-beta.8-macos.dmg (Apple Silicon only, ad-hoc signed, not notarized; right-click > Open on first launch).
• Windows x64: Somnia-v12.2.0-beta.8-x64-setup.exe or -x64.msi. Windows ARM64: -arm64-setup.exe or -arm64.msi.
• Linux x64: -amd64.deb and -amd64.AppImage. Linux ARM64: -arm64.deb.
• CLI archives (Linux, Windows, macOS; x86_64 and aarch64) are attached (somnia-cli-*); keep sidecar/ next to the binary and install Node 20+ and git on PATH.
