wiki-templates

Ready-made templates for the phpBB Modders wiki extension, adapted from Wikipedia's and other Wikimedia wikis'. The README says what the repository is for and lists the templates in it; these pages are for adding and checking templates.

Adding a template takes four steps:

  1. Fetching templates: fetch the original with tools/fetch_template.py, which writes it with its attribution header.
  2. Adapt it by hand: rewrite what the wiki can't run in plain wiki text, and say what you changed in the header (The header).
  3. Checking a template: compare it with the original with tools/compare_template.py.
  4. The record: mark it adapted, so data/templates.json knows it's done.

Templates from a Fandom wiki are copied by hand instead: Templates from Fandom.
