ESPsoup public beta 0.2 (app version 0.12.9) — receive-only radio scanner for the ESP32-C5.

Install (Android 7+): download ESPsoup-beta-0.2.apk, allow installing from this source, plug an ESP32-C5 into the phone with a USB-OTG adapter — use the board's native USB port, not the UART/CH340 port.
If you had a test build installed before, uninstall it first (different signature).

What's inside

  • New interface: Scan · Spectrum · Tools · Device (every function within 2–3 taps)
  • Signal-type search, "Search ingredients", SDR-style frequency entry, live panorama with your own range
  • ESPsoup TV: analog FPV / AV receiver with channel tables or any frequency, PAL/NTSC/Auto, seek, channel cycling, coarse colour
  • TV recording: REC button records the picture as a WebM video (channel, frequency and time burned in, original picture also in red mode, 10-minute files); replay saves the last 30 seconds from memory after the fact; Multi-TV records all pictures in one video
  • Multi-TV: one picture per board, up to 8 ESP32-C5 at once (tested with 8 boards on one hub), see https://espsoup.com/#multi-tv
  • Red night mode: black and red only, red-only spectrum/waterfall, very dark "no signal" snow in the TV tool
  • Languages (23): English, German, Ukrainian, Bulgarian, Chinese (Simplified), Croatian, Czech, Dutch, French, Greek, Hindi, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Romanian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish, Vietnamese — picked automatically from the phone's language or under Device → Language
  • Find on any frequency with a GPS heatmap; locks onto a Bluetooth device by its address or payload ID (follows address changes), about 13 readings per second
  • Bluetooth (sensors, trackers), Wi-Fi incl. 5 GHz and ITS-G5, Remote ID, Zigbee/Thread, nRF24/Hoymiles, ANT+, LTE/5G cells, signal classifier
  • Built-in firmware flasher with backup and verification

Firmware: the app installs only the ESPsoup firmware 0.7.1 (GPL-3.0-or-later, a fork of ESP-SDR by ESPARGOS). Its complete source code is attached here (espsoup-firmware-0.7.1-source.tar.gz) and in the firmware repository.

Beta: expect rough edges. ESPsoup only receives; rules on receiving radio signals differ between countries.
