Games and Removable Media
PlayFusion reads FAT32, exFAT, and Linux filesystems. Use exFAT for a mixed Windows/Linux media drive containing files over 4 GB.

Games can be in subfolders. One recognizable game mounts directly on Play; multiple games open the media browser. Select a game with A or use the shown install action to copy it internally.
Keep multi-file disc games together. A PS1 CUE must stay beside every BIN it references; a Dreamcast GDI must remain with all tracks. ZIP is accepted only when it contains one clearly recognizable cartridge ROM.
Keep a filename stable to reuse its generated save ID. Renaming it intentionally
creates a different identity. Generic .bin files are rejected unless a strong
signature identifies the system.
Loose-media detection does not try to guess how an arbitrary Windows or Linux
game should start. Package every PC game as a normal Kazeta cart with a .kzi
file, an icon, the complete game directory, and the required runtime when it is
not already installed internally.
Recommended removable-cart layout:
PC_GAME_CART/
game.kzi
icon.png
windows-1.0.kzr # needed when that runtime is not internal
game/
Game.exe
required DLLs and data files...
Windows example:
[Desktop Entry]
Name=Example Windows Game
Id=example-windows-game
Exec=game/Game.exe
Icon=icon.png
Runtime=windows-1.0
GamescopeOptions=--filter linearNative Linux example:
[Desktop Entry]
Name=Example Linux Game
Id=example-linux-game
Exec=game/start.sh
Icon=icon.png
Runtime=linux-1.0
GamescopeOptions=--filter linearKeep Id lowercase, unique, and unchanged after players have created saves.
Exec is relative to the cart root and must point to the real program or launch
script. Include every DLL, asset, configuration file, and other dependency the
game needs; a .kzi file is metadata, not a replacement for the game files.
Make Linux launch scripts executable. A 32×32 PNG icon is the minimum, although
a larger square PNG produces better results in modern menus.
Kazeta+ and PlayFusion can resolve an internally installed runtime first.
Vanilla Kazeta users should place the matching .kzr beside the .kzi as shown
above. The approved Loose Media and Multi-ROM packages remain ROM-focused and
will ignore unpackaged PC folders.
