Agentum 2.0.1 — scannable pairing QR images
Pairing now supports a clean QR image that scans reliably without terminal font or line-wrapping distortion.
ag pair --openopens a square, black-on-white PNG in your computer's image viewer.- Plain
ag pairsaves the same PNG and prints its path; narrow terminals skip the distorted terminal code. - Manual connection details remain available if an image viewer cannot open.
- The README explains where the QR appears, how to scan it, and how to pair manually.
Requires AirCodum Agentum mobile app 1.1 or later and Node.js 18+. This release contains the built CLI; no source build is needed.
Try it now with npx
On your computer, start the server and leave this terminal running:
npx agentum@latest startOpen a second terminal tab (⌘T on macOS), then run:
npx agentum@latest pair --openThe QR image opens on your computer. On your phone, open Agentum → Add computer → Scan QR code and scan that image. Connect both devices to the same Wi-Fi for initial setup.
Optional global installation
npm install -g agentum@latest
ag startIn another terminal, run ag pair --open.
npm availability
Agentum 2.0.1 is published on npm as latest. Both npx agentum@latest and npm install -g agentum@latest select this release. The attached tarball is also available for direct installation from GitHub.
Validation
The Windows, Linux, and macOS installation/test matrix passes. Generated PNGs are checked with an independent QR decoder. The actual image viewer was verified on macOS; Windows/Linux viewer selection is covered by automated mocks. The local suite passed 32 tests with 2 existing skips.
Agentum 2.0.0 — for AirCodum Agentum 1.1
Agentum 2.0.0 adds paired computers, Cline sessions and improved desktop controls for AirCodum Agentum 1.1 or later.
- Pair using a locally generated QR code or manual host, ports and key. Save multiple computers or independent terminal instances on one computer.
- Launch the official Cline CLI from its dedicated mobile tab, with project folders and interactive approval/menu keys. The terminal measures the phone's available width, preserves menu colors and highlights, and keeps the selected choice visible. Install
npm install -g clineand runcline authon the computer first, then restartagfrom that terminal. The preset disables automatic tool approval. - Use pinch zoom, scrolling, panning, explicit dragging, right-click and text/shortcut input with the matching mobile app. Desktop mode controls the computer’s foreground desktop; separate terminal instances are not separate virtual desktops.
- Keep running terminal sessions through phone disconnects. Windows terminals now release native resources after completion. WSL receives clear Windows-host desktop guidance while terminal sessions remain available.
Compatibility: This major release requires AirCodum Agentum 1.1 or later. Older anonymous apps cannot connect. The matching mobile 1.1.0 source release is available. Android build 10 is now the active Google Play production release, across 172 countries / regions. Apple remains WAITING_FOR_REVIEW. Upgrade the desktop server after installing mobile 1.1; keep Agentum 1.x with an older mobile app. Running PTYs end when the desktop server stops; reconnecting does not resurrect ended sessions. Each new Cline session starts a separate conversation.
Published on npm under next: install with npm install -g agentum@next or pin npm install -g agentum@2.0.0, then run ag start and ag pair. Stable latest intentionally remains 1.0.3 for older mobile apps while the iOS update awaits review. The attached verified GitHub package remains available as an alternative.
Validation: Windows, macOS and Ubuntu CI passed full server tests and normal packaged installation. Coverage includes authenticated WebSockets, Cline PTY creation/input/replay/isolation, Windows natural process exit, desktop input contracts and capture lifecycle. Native desktop capture/input has been exercised on macOS; this CI does not establish equivalent native Windows/Linux desktop capture validation.
Real Cline 3.0.61 setup navigation reached all four providers in a phone-sized PTY without authenticating or submitting a model task. The accompanying mobile runtime passes 101 behavior tests and TypeScript. Candidate 9 supplied the full three-test iOS suite and 14 Android functional checks across documented continuations, covering pairing, PTYs, desktop gestures/text/frame updates, instance isolation and recovery. Its native accessibility deselection defect was fixed in build 10. Final build 10 passed targeted Android and iOS selection checks, including clearing the old selected row, plus interruption/recovery and scanner/safe-area smoke. This is full baseline coverage plus targeted final verification, not a claim that the entire journey was rerun on build 10. iOS tests execute the exact production JavaScript/resources in a compatible simulator shell; physical distribution-IPA execution and camera QR decoding were not tested.

Agentum 1.0.3 — Windows installation and WSL guidance
Fixes Windows installation and the WSL/WSLg black desktop reported in #2.
- Portable Node postinstall; Windows does not need
--ignore-scripts. - Detects WSL and explains how to start Agentum in Windows PowerShell on the computer or VM that owns the desktop. Terminal sessions remain available.
- Correct CLI package version output. Existing mobile protocol is preserved.
Windows, macOS and Linux checks passed, including normal installation of the packed npm artifact and real terminal sessions: https://github.com/priyankark/agentum-cli/actions/runs/34809405752
Published on npm as stable latest. Install or upgrade with:
npm install -g agentum@1.0.3
ag --versionAn unversioned npm install -g agentum also installs this stable release. The attached GitHub package remains available. Agentum 2.0.0 is separately published under next for the new paired mobile app. This fix does not add Windows desktop capture from inside WSL; it implements the requested detection and Windows-host guidance.
