Before shadow startup, select the newest stable direct real production closed Polymarket segment, run the exact candidate Rust uploader against an isolated copy, and bind its verified OSS readback without depending on legacy Python upload status.
Out of scope
Quote collection, legacy Python uploader compatibility, snapshot/evaluator/research logic, the 3600+601 second observation contract, and production cutover.
Dependency / merge order
Depends on merged PR #423. Merge this fix before rebuilding raw-ops and starting the next formal Gate.

Rollout / rollback impact
Control-plane only. Rollback is reverting this commit. Production services remain unchanged until the separately governed #326 Gate and cutover.
