Gitwall 0.2.0
Gitwall shows open pull requests, merge requests and issues from GitHub and GitLab in your menu bar and in desktop widgets.
What's new in 0.2.0
- Sign in with GitHub or GitLab. No more copying tokens: GitHub.com uses the device flow (you confirm a short code in the browser), GitLab.com a secure sign-in window. You sign in once; Gitwall refreshes the connection in the background. Personal access tokens still work, and self-hosted GitHub Enterprise Server or GitLab can use a client ID you register there.
- First-run walkthrough from an account to repositories, views, notifications and a widget on your desktop.
- Token expiry warnings. Gitwall tells you a week before a personal access token expires, and an account that needs attention offers to sign in again while it keeps showing what it had.
- GitLab requests now send the token as a bearer credential, which covers both personal access tokens and OAuth.
Install
Download Gitwall-0.2.0.zip, unzip it and move Gitwall.app to Applications. The build is signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple, so it opens without a Gatekeeper warning. Requires macOS 14 Sonoma or later.
This direct download does not update itself. The Mac App Store version (in review) updates automatically.
SHA-256 of the zip is in Gitwall-0.2.0.zip.sha256.
