xDrip (Android) setup

In this mode the M5Stack pretends to be a Mi Band 2. xDrip finds it, authenticates, and pushes every reading to it as a watch notification.

Set the device to this source first: at first boot press A, or later go to Menu → Data source → xDrip (Android) (the device reboots). See Device setup.

1. Scan the setup QR code

Once you have flashed the M5Stack and selected xDrip (Android) as the data source, the device displays a QR code. It carries everything xDrip needs — the M5Stack's Bluetooth MAC and the Mi Band settings — so you don't have to type anything.

In xDrip+, open Settings → Data Sync → Auto configure ("Auto configure using a barcode").

Point the camera at the QR code on the device. xDrip asks you to confirm the import — tap Yes.

This sets miband_data_mac, miband_enabled, and miband_send_readings_as_notification in one step. On the device the Bluetooth icon goes steady blue and the log shows auth OK once authentication succeeds.

Don't see the QR code? If you're past first setup, bring it back any time from Menu → Settings → Bluetooth → xDrip Setup QR.

2. Confirm it works — send a reading manually

Whichever setup path you used, push the current value now rather than wait for the next 5-minute cycle — it confirms end to end that the link works. In xDrip+, open Settings → Smart Watch Features → Mi Band, scroll down and tap Update BG manually;

when asked "Update BG data now?", tap Yes.

Within a moment the device should show the value on the main page. From then on each new reading arrives automatically (≤ 5 min).

You will need to wait for more measurements to see the trend arrow and delta.

Manual setup (troubleshooting)

If the QR import doesn't take — or you'd rather configure it by hand — set the Mi Band up manually in xDrip+, under Settings → Smart Watch Features → Mi Band.

Enable the Mi Band

Turn Use MiBand Band ON. xDrip starts searching — "Searching… Please keep MiBand near your phone". Leave the authentication key empty so xDrip generates one.

Delete any existing Mac address

If Mac address already holds an address from a previous band or a previous pairing, xDrip will keep chasing that old device and never find the M5Stack.

Tap Mac address, clear the field completely, and tap OK — leave it empty for auto search.

Let it find the device

With the M5Stack powered on and nearby, xDrip discovers it and fills the Mac address in automatically:

On the device, the Bluetooth icon goes steady blue and the log shows auth OK once authentication succeeds. Then confirm it with a manual reading as in step 2.

Notes

• No time sync in this mode. Set the clock in Menu → Set time. On Core2 the RTC keeps it across reboots; on Basic/Fire re-enter it after a power-off.
• The reading arrives as text in xDrip's configured unit; the device converts to the unit you selected in its own menu.
