On iOS the device is paired as a standard M5Stack peripheral. Pairing, readings, trend and time are all handled automatically — the app even pushes the current time on connect, so the clock sets itself.
Set the device to this source first: at first boot press C, or later go to Menu → Data source → xDrip4iOS (the device reboots). See Device setup.
In xDrip4iOS / xdripswift, add a Bluetooth device of type M5Stack. The official steps (screenshots, the pairing password exchange and troubleshooting) are documented by the xDrip4iOS project:

Once paired, the reading and trend arrow appear, the clock sets itself, and the device reconnects on its own after a reboot.
