Such updates to process! Much discussions happen! A few points for review:

  • I think descriptions of git syntax can vary, as long as we achieve identical results (E.g. releasing from either master or release branch are identical, assuming hashes are identical.)
  • Twine is absolutely necessary and now supports Windows executable files too!
  • Should we provide Linux wheels?
  • Should we consider other Pillow Wheel Builders (I.e. not just for OS X)?

Experiment with footnotes [ci skip]
I can't seem to find a compiler for markdown that works like GitHub so I'm making a branch to experiment. Also want to discuss some of the releasing practices in a PR.
Recommend org branches
We have Travis-CI for org branches so why personal branch?
Source dists moved above
Also dir does not necessarily have to be clean since the manifest determines what is included.
