Unspool needs a local build, Telegram API credentials for your own application, an authorized Telegram account, and a download folder selected through macOS.
- Follow Building and Dependencies.
- Create an API ID and API hash at my.telegram.org/apps.
- Enter those credentials in Unspool and complete the Telegram authorization steps shown by TDLib.
- Choose a writable download folder.
- Select a chat and message-history range.
- Filter and select attachments, review preflight, then start the batch.
API credentials are stored in macOS Keychain. Login codes and two-step verification passwords are passed to Telegram through TDLib and are not saved in Unspool's persistent stores.
