The big one: Forge now support networking for game transfers and conversion on the fly. Also a new logo and a small redesign.
New
Connect tab. Pair with another Forge (a computer or a PS5) on your local network. Autodiscovery finds it, or type its address under Add a device. You allow the pairing on the other device once both screens show the same check number. Pairings are kept across restarts.
NAS support: SMB, FTP and NFS. Save a NAS from Autodiscovery or by address, with or without a login. Its games are sources and its folders are outputs.
On-the-fly conversion. Convert a game on one device straight into an image or folder on another, a debug FPKG included.
File Transfer. Copy files and folders from any device to any other. Transfers run beside a conversion.
Phones and browsers. In the web UI (the PS5's page included), the Connect tab's QR code opens Forge on a phone, and File Transfer uploads files to or downloads them from the device serving the page.
Install on PS5 (desktop app): type the console's address and press Install. The console's ELF loader downloads the matching Dump Forge release from GitHub and starts it. Send a payload sends any other ELF the same way.
Device tabs in every file picker while a paired Forge or saved NAS is online. In Edit, a remote game can be browsed and extracted from, not changed.
Notes
Connect traffic between Forges is authenticated but not encrypted. Use it on a trusted network. Pairing works on local networks only (Tailscale addresses count as local).
Install on PS5 and Send a payload need an ELF loader that listens on the network (port 9021). The webkit autoloader's loader is loopback-only.
