Side Menu
In Quik there is the option to block phone numbers from sending you text messages. This is available through the side menu. Tap on the Blocking tab to enter the Blocking menu.
In the blocking menu, there is an option to choose which blocking manager you would like to use. Here you have the option to choose either Quik (Default) or other third party apps. Select the one you wish to use by tapping on it.
To add blocked numbers you have a few options.
- Tap on the
Blocked Numberssetting within the Blocking Menu. Then tap on the+icon in the bottom right corner of the screen. From here you can input the phone number you wish to block. - Hold down on the conversation in the conversation list. Then tap on the ellipsis icon in the top right and select
Block. - Within the conversation itself, tap on the on the ellipsis icon in the top right and select
Block. To remove a blocked number navigate to the Blocked Numbers tab and tap theXicon next to the phone number that you wish to unblock. You can also unblock the message by tapping the ellipsis within the conversation itself and selectingUnblock.
To view blocked messages navigate to the Blocking Menu and tap Blocked Messages. Tap on the conversation.
There is also a more advanced feature to drop the blocked messages. This means that a message sent from the blocked numbers will never reach your inbox. To enable this tap the toggle in the Blocking Menu.
In Quik, there is the option to back up all the SMS messages in your messaging database, and then restore from a backup.
To back up your messages, open up the side menu, and tap Backup and Restore. From here you need, to set up a backup location. To set a backup location tap on Backup Location and choose a folder in your files app. To then backup your messages, tap Backup now.
To restore backups, navigate to the backup and restore menu, and then tap Restore. Tap on the file you would like to restore, and Quik will restore your messages. Note: Quik can also restore backups made from QKSMS, if you need to migrate over from that app.
To invite friends to use this amazing app, 😁, open up the side menu and tap Invite Friends. This will open up a dialog with a link that can be attached.
