v1.5.1 — Lunch Flow account error details
Lunch Flow account pages and synchronization previews now show the explanation returned with rejected balance or holdings requests. HTTP 400/422 is distinguished from provider server errors; response details are bounded, credentials are redacted, and provider text is escaped in English and French interfaces. Successful refreshes clear old errors.
This release improves diagnostics. It does not claim to resolve an external account rejection without its response details. After updating through HACS and restarting Home Assistant, synchronize the affected account to obtain the provider explanation.
Validation: 237 Python tests, 25 browser tests in a disposable Home Assistant instance, lint, frontend syntax, hassfest and HACS checks. Fictional desktop and mobile screenshots are linked in docs/VALIDATION.md.
v1.5.0 — Automatic refresh and converted investment entities
Lunch Flow now refreshes automatically at startup and hourly by default. Configure each connection under Finance settings → Lunch Flow → Automatic refresh, with intervals from 15 minutes to 24 hours. Failed accounts are retried without preventing the other accounts from refreshing; initial transaction imports still require review.
Account forms now provide localized currency dropdowns and Convert automatically → Convert to. Existing Home Assistant entities publish the converted value and target currency. Investment entities include cash plus the market values of stocks, funds and cryptocurrencies, counting bank positions once. Required exchange rates refresh automatically.
Account pages preview the entity value and show precise attempt/success times and HTTP failure codes. Missing required data remains unknown and valid previous bank snapshots are retained during outages. This improves retries and diagnostics; it cannot recover a balance that Lunch Flow or the bank does not provide.
Validation: 229 Python tests and 23 real Home Assistant browser tests, including English desktop and French mobile conversion/settings flows, plus lint, JavaScript syntax, hassfest and HACS checks.
Update to 1.5.0 in HACS and restart Home Assistant. Existing accounts, journal records, budgets and entity IDs are preserved. Investment entities change from cash-only values to cash plus market values.
v1.4.1 — Correct Home Assistant bank balance sensors
Published Home Assistant account sensors now use the latest Lunch Flow bank balance, matching the account page. For example, an account with a bank balance of 524 and an empty local journal now publishes 524 instead of zero.
Manual accounts continue to use their journal balance. The fix preserves zero and negative bank balances, retains the last valid bank amount during provider failures, and reports an unknown amount when no valid snapshot exists. Unlinking restores the journal as the existing sensor's source. Entity IDs and journal data are preserved.
Validation: 216 Python tests, including actual Home Assistant state updates with representative bank responses; Python lint/format and JavaScript syntax checks. Full GitHub CI passed, including real Home Assistant browser tests, hassfest and HACS validation.
Update Autonomous Budget to 1.4.1 in HACS and restart Home Assistant. Existing account entities will use the corrected balance without needing to be recreated.
v1.4.0 — Personal overview and bank synchronization clarity
Overview now follows the signed-in Home Assistant user. Assign a user to accounts and budgets to include them in their personal summary; household access in other modules remains unchanged.
- Optional budget assignment in both English and French, preserved through edits and backups.
- Current bank balances for connected accounts in Overview, with journal-based income/expenses and explicit incomplete-data notices. Historical reports and budget reserves retain their existing calculations.
- Clearer Lunch Flow failure reasons and partial synchronization status, including failures of optional bank balances or holdings.
- Bank/ledger balances and synchronization actions in investment portfolios, with explanations for empty positions and histories.
Validation: 214 Python tests and 21 real Home Assistant browser journeys, including desktop/mobile, both languages and two authenticated users. GitHub CI, HACS and manifest checks must pass for this release commit. Provider failures and recovery are covered with representative responses; the updated release has not yet been verified by an end-to-end synchronization with the user's live bank connection.
Update through HACS, restart Home Assistant, and refresh open browser tabs. Existing budgets remain unassigned until a Home Assistant user is selected in Edit budget.
v1.3.0 — A consistent financial workspace
Autonomous Budget 1.3.0 brings the budget planner and financial modules into one consistent workspace.
- Shared navigation, page headers, typography, buttons, tables, dialogs and dashboard-card styling.
- A focused financial overview with direct account and budget shortcuts.
- Accounts grouped by type, instant search and type filters, plus visible journal search.
- Clearer account forms with grouped fields, conditional investment settings and advanced options.
- Financial settings organized by purpose, readable synchronization status and dedicated backup controls.
- Expandable report details, complete printing, improved mobile layouts and French translations.
Existing budgets, calculations, reserves, accounts, provider links and independently configurable card options are preserved. No data migration is required.
Validation: 209 Python tests and 19 real Home Assistant browser journeys, plus frontend checks, hassfest and HACS validation. English/French desktop/mobile flows and light/dark visual reviews are covered. Lunch Flow uses representative test responses; no live bank key was available.
Update: download 1.3.0 in HACS, restart Home Assistant, then refresh open browser tabs.

v1.2.1 — Lunch Flow balances and account editing
Lunch Flow balances and account editing
- Disconnect a linked account in Edit account → Disconnect this account from Lunch Flow → Save. The Unlink button is removed from account cards and journals; cancelling preserves the link.
- Retrieve the bank balance immediately when linking. Account pages and dashboard cards label it Bank balance, while account pages keep Ledger balance separate. Opening balances, reports and budget calculations retain their ledger basis; no balancing transactions are invented.
- Refresh bank snapshots even before the first journal import is confirmed. Use Synchronize beside an existing account to update its balance now, and Review transactions to approve the first journal import.
- Keep account linking available when optional balances or investment holdings are unsupported or temporarily unavailable, including CELIAPP-style investment accounts. Show the unavailable status and retain the last valid data. Invalid credentials still fail explicitly.
- Isolate transaction-fetch outages to the affected account and report partial synchronization instead of blocking other accounts.
Validation
209 Python tests and 17 Home Assistant browser scenarios cover balance refresh, initial review, stale and zero balances, provider failures, authentication checks, budgets and English/French desktop/mobile account editing. GitHub validates Python/frontend, Home Assistant and HACS compatibility.
Lunch Flow requests use representative fixtures in automated tests. A real bank connection, including the reported Cash and CELIAPP accounts, has not been tested without an authorized test key.
Upgrade
Update to 1.2.1 in HACS, restart Home Assistant and refresh open tabs. For previously linked accounts, press Synchronize beside the account to retrieve the bank balance immediately; there is no need to unlink and recreate it.
v1.2.0 — Account linking and household access
Accounts shared across your Home Assistant household
All authenticated Home Assistant users can now view and edit accounts, budgets, transactions, portfolios, reports, exports and existing connections, including records created before this release. An optional Home Assistant user assignment identifies the account holder without restricting access.
Home Assistant administrators create accounts, budgets, connections and other financial setup records, and restore backups. Members can record transactions and modify existing data. These role checks are enforced on the server. Connection keys stay server-side, and native sensor publication remains opt-in.
Connect Lunch Flow while adding an account
In Accounts → Add account, choose an enabled Lunch Flow connection and then a remote account. Saving creates and links the local account together; a failed link does not leave an extra account. Leave the connection empty for a manual account. The selectors are absent when no connection is enabled.
Saved links and Unlink controls appear on account cards and journals. Existing unlinked accounts can be connected through Edit account. Finance settings retain connection creation, rename and synchronization. Links request all available bank history, and supported investment holdings continue to appear in Investments.
Validation and upgrade
- 195 Python tests and 17 browser tests against a real disposable Home Assistant instance, including member access, administrator creation checks, HTTP restore protection, budget regressions and English/French desktop/mobile account linking.
- Python/frontend, Home Assistant manifest and HACS checks on GitHub.
- Lunch Flow provider responses are representative fixtures; a real bank connection still requires an authorized test key.
Update to 1.2.0 in HACS, restart Home Assistant and refresh open browser tabs. Existing budgets, journal data, identifiers and reserve calculations are preserved. Previously private accounts become shared household accounts as described above.
v1.1.0 — Lunch Flow connections and automatic holdings
Lunch Flow connections now support renaming and visible remote-to-local account links with an Unlink button. Renaming keeps the saved key; unlinking stops that account synchronization while preserving its history.
Newly saved links request all available history, with no start-date field. Transactions before the dated opening balance stay in the journal but do not count twice in current balances or statement reconciliation. The provider determines how much history is available.
Linking an investment account automatically displays supported Lunch Flow holdings in Investments, including stocks and cryptocurrencies. Dated broker quantities and values supply the portfolio valuation without being added on top of local holdings. Existing journal operations remain preserved; missing acquisition costs remain unknown. No fictional buys or sells are created.
Also includes English/French labels, mobile layout checks and explicit hiding of closed dialogs to remove empty white space.
Validation: 183 Python tests and 17 Home Assistant browser tests, frontend checks, hassfest and HACS validation. Lunch Flow provider responses are simulated; a live bank connection was not available for testing.
Update to 1.1.0 in HACS, restart Home Assistant and refresh the browser. Existing mappings keep their old import boundary until saved again through Choose accounts.
v1.0.2 — Correct projected reserves for different frequencies
Fixes monthly and other differently scheduled expenses incorrectly appearing as Paid with income when an installment happens to fall on payday.
An expense now qualifies only when the expense frequency and the positive income frequency both match the budget’s selected pay period, and their payment dates coincide. With biweekly pay, a monthly bill retains its normal fractional reserve. Matching biweekly payments and common contributions still qualify.
The panel, dashboard cards, available balance and native reserve sensors use the corrected calculation. No entries need to be recreated.
Validation: 176 Python tests, real Home Assistant browser tests, frontend checks, hassfest and HACS validation.
Update to 1.0.2 in HACS, restart Home Assistant and refresh the browser.
v1.0.1 — Fix Lunch Flow account linking
Fixes the 'currency' error when linking a Lunch Flow account whose account-list response has no currency.
The integration now reads the currency from the account balance when necessary, checks it against the local account, and displays a clear English/French message if Lunch Flow provides no currency in either response. The account picker no longer shows undefined.
Validated with 162 Python tests, including 11 regression cases for this fix, frontend syntax checks, real Home Assistant browser tests, hassfest and HACS checks. Lunch Flow responses are simulated; no live bank connection was used.
Update to 1.0.1 in HACS, restart Home Assistant, refresh the browser and retry linking the account. Existing accounts and transactions are preserved.
