• Action history: every change the program makes (cleaning, DNS, network settings, boost, drivers, startup entries, uninstalls, quarantine) is recorded with before/after and whether it can be undone. Export as HTML or JSON with user names, computer name, serial numbers, MAC and IP addresses always removed; an export that still contains one of them is refused.
• Evidence labels: every value says where it came from - measured by Rain Cleaner, reported by Windows, reported by the device/driver, estimated, or no data. "No data" is never shown as 0 or as fine.
• Crash reports from the last 14 days are called out before cleaning; the history keeps the full list of any that were deleted.
• My computer: raw drive reliability counters (wear, power-on hours, read/write errors) with their source, battery cycle count where reported, free space as its own "capacity" group. No synthetic health scores.
• Command line: raincmd history and raincmd doctor (crashes and unexpected shutdowns next to Rain Cleaner's own changes, by time, with Event Viewer references and no claims about causes).
• Journals written by earlier versions are imported once; settings and old files are left untouched on upgrade.
• 154 automated tests.

• Browser caches are now cleaned for every Chrome, Edge and Brave profile, not only "Default". The profile list comes from the browser's own Local State file; only the cache folders inside each profile can be touched, never cookies, passwords or history.
• Path safety hardening: every folder between an allowed root and the file is now checked before a delete. A junction or symbolic link anywhere on that path stops the delete. Before, only the last component was checked.
• 124 automated tests (22 new for these two changes).

Rain Cleaner 2.7.0

What's new in 2.7.0

The program now tells you when a new version is out. Until now it only checked if you
pressed the button in Settings, which meant a new feature could never reach someone who
already had it installed. It now checks once a day at start-up and shows a quiet bar at the
bottom.

It still does not download or install anything by itself — the button opens the download
page. "Not now" means not now: a version you wave away is never mentioned again. The whole
thing can be switched off in Settings.

Earlier in 2.6.0

Three sentences the program used to say that were not true are gone: a boost it had not
performed, an all-clear printed over an alarm the background service had seen, and a disk
snapshot it had not taken.
