Introduction

This is a collection of everything I learned about the Extron ecosystem, mainly related to IP Link drivers.

Here you will mainly find information about the .pke/.pkn file format, and the contained .xml and .sc files.

Limitations

• I haven't decoded the EIR file format used for IR drivers yet.
• The .pkp file format used in IP Link Pro systems is out of scope at the moment.

Disclaimer

You need an Extron insider account in order to download the firmware of IP Link controllers and TouchLink panels, the Global Configurator and GUI Configurator tools, and the control system drivers. Furthermore, you need a license to use the Global Configurator tool.

Please do not ask for any copyrighted material. I will not reply. The scope of this wiki is pure documentation and I don't want to upset an American company!
