You're one step away from creating your very own SingStar edition! Please read the guides below to get familiar with SST and its interface.

Initial Setup

Before using SingStar Toolbox, you need to install the .NET 8.0 Desktop Runtime from Microsoft. If it is not already installed on your computer, you will be prompted to download it automatically when launching the software.

Another mandatory requirement is to download the latest version of ffmpeg.exe (direct link for Win10/11) and place it in the same folder as SingStar Toolbox.

UltraStar Song Requirements

Before getting started, please make sure your UltraStar songs meet the following requirements:

  • Each song MUST have at least one video OR audio file. Songs that use online videos are not supported.
  • Each song MUST have artwork in JPG, BMP, or PNG format.

Importing Songs

You can import one song at a time using the '+' button (alternatively, File > Add Song), or import all songs in a directory by browsing to a folder ('...' button).

Folder import includes all subdirectories.

Imported songs can be in UltraStar .txt format, SST2 format, SST3 format or SSTD format.

You can also convert songs from existing SingStar discs to the SST2 or SST3 format.

Navigating Songs & Workflow

  • Songs can be moved in the list using the up and down arrow buttons. This determines their order in the PS2 in-game menu.
  • Songs can be previewed using the Play/Stop button.
  • If a song’s .txt file was edited after being added to the list, refresh the song list using Songs > Refresh songs list.
