My LOOI v2.1.136

This release brings together the improvements made since the previous public v2.1.122 release.

Highlights

  • Added more natural idle and conversational behavior, including configurable Lively micro-movements and subtle head/body gestures.
  • Added custom robot names, aliases and configurable custom voice-command phrases.
  • Strengthened built-in physical command routing and universal emergency STOP handling.
  • Added optional local Camera Attention:
    • local on-device face detection;
    • eye gaze toward the person;
    • bounded head/body recentering;
    • finite social search;
    • no autonomous forward/backward movement.
  • Improved coordination between Camera Attention and ambient character gestures.
  • Added independent face styles and palettes, including Cap, Cowboy and Bandana appearance options.
  • Improved far-field voice pickup with a controlled 2x Realtime uplink gain while preserving the existing Android VOICE_COMMUNICATION capture, platform AEC and protected audio pipeline.
  • Returned Realtime server VAD to the physically tested 0.15 threshold with 500 ms prefix padding, 1000 ms silence duration and far_field input noise reduction.
  • Improved robot-vs-human identity handling so robot aliases are not incorrectly used as the human's name.
  • Added and expanded regression coverage for natural motion, custom phrases, social attention, local face detection, far-field audio and UI behavior.
  • Added a public USER_GUIDE.md covering setup, built-in command examples in Ukrainian, English and Russian, custom phrases, Camera Attention, appearance, memory/backup, diagnostics, updates, privacy and safety.

Voice pickup

Far-field pickup is materially improved compared with v2.1.135, but it is not considered perfect yet. The current 2x uplink gain was retained because physical testing showed improvement without observed clipping.

Privacy and safety

Camera Attention is opt-in and face processing is performed locally on the Android device. Camera frames are not uploaded for this feature.

Physical movement continues to use emergency STOP handling, deadman protection, BLE lifecycle checks and cliff-safety guardrails. Camera Attention does not autonomously drive the robot forward or backward.
