v1.4 — DLSS temporal, faithful sound, easier setup
What's new in v1.4
- NVIDIA DLSS done properly (Vulkan and Direct3D 12). DLSS now gets the game's real depth
buffer and motion vectors estimated on the GPU, so it accumulates detail over frames instead of
restarting every frame. A mask keeps fast-moving limbs sharp. On Direct3D 12 it is a standard
DLSS integration that DLSS add-ons can hook. - Faithful sound. PCSX2's SPU2 now mixes the game's audio: reverb, interpolation, volume sweeps
and the real DMA timing, with no repeated audio blocks. - From the browser version, now on PC too: DMA/VIF1 chains read in place (cheaper heavy scenes),
video and menu wait loops that sleep instead of spinning (less CPU and heat outside matches),
thread priority fix. - Easier preparation. The game build no longer runs out of memory on PCs with less RAM, the
biggest file is compiled much faster, and the window now shows the compiled blocks, the
percentage and the time left (about 1 hour, only once).
