Jack 1.2.1 now runs on PHP 7.4 to 8.5 and ships with a much lighter dependency footprint.


New features 🎉

  • Jack now installs and runs natively on PHP 7.4 through 8.5. The source is backported to 7.4 syntax and the old Rector downgrade build pipeline is gone, so you can require it directly on legacy projects #47
  • symfony/process widened to ^5.4 || ^6.4 || ^7.0 || ^8.1, so it resolves against older Symfony versions too #47

Cleanup 🧹

  • Replace nette/utils and webmozart/assert with entropy/entropy - direct production dependencies drop from 5 to 3 #45
  • CI now runs the test suite on PHP 7.4, 8.2 and 8.5
