• Point wright at a model server you run yourself. Anything speaking the OpenAI API — RamaLama, llama.cpp, vLLM, LM Studio — is reachable by naming it in your user config:

  The key is the prefix, so -m lab/gpt-oss:20b routes there. ramalama is built in at http://127.0.0.1:8080/v1, so ramalama serve gpt-oss:20b needs no configuration at all. Verified end to end against a real RamaLama, including tool calling, which is what the agent loop depends on.

  Endpoints are read from your own config only, never from a project's settings file, trusted or not — this decides where your prompts, and so your code, are sent. wright refuses a name that would shadow a built-in provider (registering over one would silently redirect it), refuses a URL with no scheme, and warns when an endpoint is not on this machine.
