Salsa64 v0.2.1 (preview)
Pre-releasePreview release. Bug-fix update to v0.2.0. Salsa64 is a Nintendo 64 emulator for the PlayStation 3 (homebrew, HEN or CFW), built around the Cell.

Fixed
- Donkey Kong 64: the camera no longer zooms in and out every couple of seconds. The game reads the depth buffer from N64 memory to check whether DK is hidden, and the emulator never wrote the depth clear back, so DK always looked hidden.
- Zelda: Ocarina of Time: Navi's glow and the torch halos are drawn again (same cause).
- Zelda: Ocarina of Time: no more hitch when entering pre-rendered rooms (Kokiri shop, Link's house, castle town…). The JPEG decoding of those backgrounds now runs on a free SPE with vector code: 0.3 ms of emulation time per room instead of 68 ms.
Everything in v0.2.0 still applies, including the compatibility list and known issues (Super Smash Bros. still freezes on the first KO; workaround: /dev_hdd0/salsa64/fbfx.cfg containing 1).
Install
Install salsa64-v0.2.1.pkg from Package Manager (HEN or CFW). It replaces the previous version; saves and states are kept. Guide (Spanish): docs/uso-ps3.md. Changes: CHANGELOG.md.
Legal
No ROMs, BIOS, PIF ROMs or any Nintendo or Sony material are included or accepted. Use backups of games you own. GPL-2.0-or-later (lib/rsxkit and lib/spukit are MIT); the complete source for this binary is the tag v0.2.1. Built only with the open-source PSL1GHT toolchain.
