Muse Desktop 0.1.0 (Unofficial)
An unofficial macOS companion for Muse Code, created and maintained by Robert Courson (@robzilla1738). Not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or supported by Meta.
Install
- Apple Silicon: download
Muse-Desktop-0.1.0-arm64.dmg. - Intel: download
Muse-Desktop-0.1.0-x64.dmg. - Drag Muse Desktop to Applications and open it.
- Requires macOS 13+ and a separately installed, authenticated Muse Code CLI. Verified with CLI and SDK 1.4.7. The GUI uses your existing CLI sign-in, settings, and saved sessions.
The apps and DMG containers are Developer ID signed by Robert Courson and notarized by Apple. ZIP archives contain stapled, notarized apps and are used by Sparkle. SHA256SUMS.txt contains download checksums.
Included
Real CLI history and streaming conversations; themed model and effort controls; exact CLI approvals; queued follow-ups and steering; file attachments and Git diffs; searchable, pinnable conversations; microphone transcription through the CLI; and five Muse-inspired themes.
Sparkle verifies signed feeds and update archives. Open Settings → About → Check for updates, or opt into daily checks. Updates install only when you choose. Save drafts and finish voice input before installing.
Verification and scope
16 unit tests, 11 desktop tests, real CLI echo integration, and GitHub macOS CI passed. Both architecture archives passed code-signature, notarization, Gatekeeper, and update-signature checks. The native Sparkle feed check was exercised on Apple Silicon.
Intel hardware, the oldest supported macOS version, and physical microphone capture in the final release were not independently tested. Some advanced CLI administration uses the Terminal handoff; this app does not claim graphical parity with every CLI command. See compatibility.
