v1.9.6: The rot shows

The cat's six stages are louder, so the decay reads at the size of the floating pill and the widget, not just up close. Wilting goes green with sagging ears, mouldy gets big blotches and a clouded eye, rotting opens the skull early, nearly gone is mostly bone. Fresh and gone are unchanged.

Installing

arm64 only, which is any phone from roughly 2017 onwards. Older 32-bit devices will refuse to install it.

Signature note. From this release the APK is signed with Wilt's registered upload key rather than a development key, so it keeps installing on certified devices after Android's September 2026 developer-verification deadline. Two consequences: if you installed an earlier release from this page, uninstall it before installing this one, since the key changed; and the Play Store build is signed by Play App Signing, so moving between this APK and the Play version also needs an uninstall in either direction.
