• Finds leftover files most uninstallers miss: hidden files in your home folder (like ~/.config and ~/.cache), dot-folders apps create, and temporary files — including ones in /tmp.
• Reads what an app's installer actually placed on your Mac and offers to remove those files too.
• Surfaces helper apps signed by the same developer for you to review.
• Orphaned Files: assign several leftovers to an app in one step — tick the files you want, right-click, and choose Assign to App….

Changed

• Smarter, safer matching — better at telling which files belong to which app, so it won't grab a file that actually belongs to a different one. Anything it isn't sure about is shown for review instead of being selected automatically.
• Faster app switching — picking a new app immediately stops the previous scan instead of letting old scans pile up.
• Update options moved to Settings → General → Updates. Choose Manual and BetterCleaner stays completely offline until you check for an update yourself.

Removed

• The separate "Update" settings tab — its options now live in General.
