Media Gallery 2.0.2

Fixed

  • Mobile video previews no longer show a black placeholder (the native "play triangle") before the first tap. Each grid video now captures and displays a real poster frame. Mobile webviews only decode a frame once playback starts, so the previous #t=0.1 trick left a blank placeholder — a bug invisible on desktop and in DevTools device emulation.

Changed

  • On mobile, grid videos no longer autoplay inline (distracting and battery-hungry). Tiles show a static poster frame; playback opens in the full-screen player on tap. Posters are captured lazily as tiles near the viewport to stay under the platform’s simultaneous-decode limit. Desktop keeps hover-to-play.
  • Added a Vitest suite for the poster-capture helper.

Install: copy main.js, manifest.json, and styles.css into <vault>/.obsidian/plugins/media-gallery/.

2.0.1

Media Gallery 2.0.1

Fixed

  • Mobile video previews no longer show a blank/white screen with native player chrome. Previews now render a poster frame and autoplay inline (muted, looped) while on screen, pausing when scrolled away.
  • Removed event-listener and object-URL leaks; artwork URLs are now released on plugin unload instead of on unrelated vault events.
  • Added error handling to async media loads and hardened the audio-preview race guard.

Changed

  • Internal cleanup: shared utilities and modal scaffold, named audio-visualization constants, dead code removed.
  • Strict linting (typescript-eslint strict + full obsidianmd) and strict TypeScript.
  • Added a Vitest unit-test suite and a GitHub Actions CI workflow.
  • Visual polish: hover lift/zoom, loading skeletons, frosted modal backdrops, larger mobile tap targets.

Install: copy main.js, manifest.json, and styles.css into <vault>/.obsidian/plugins/media-gallery/.
