Argosy 2.0
The UI 2.0 overhaul is stable. Thanks to everyone who tested the betas and filed issues along the way.
New Features
- UI 2.0: a denser, sharper interface across every screen, with a deeper near-black dark theme. New installs default to cyan; existing setups keep their look
- Theme customization: user fonts, font scale, surface tint, and backdrop patterns
- 3D box art from ScreenScraper box scans (enable box2d_back and box2d_side in RomM and re-scan)
- Speedrun mode for the built-in emulator: splits, hotkeys, and an on-screen timer (new, feedback welcome)
- Windows games through GameNative: download from RomM, add in GameNative as a Custom Game once, launch from Argosy after that
- Store game imports: GOG, Epic, and Amazon installs from GameNative get their own shelves (Settings > Steam > Store Game Imports)
- Related Games on game details
- Screenshots upload to your RomM gallery while playing (RomM 5.0+)
- Region priority for regional duplicates
- Changelog browser in Settings > About
- Redesigned navigation sidebar; settings adapt to orientation
- Dual-screen redesign with companion quick actions (save state, screenshot, load state)
Improvements
- Built-in saves: an explicit restore always wins over auto-resume, and save/core failures show a message instead of failing silently (thanks @Yiannis128)
- New Default to Hardcore launch option; hardcore sessions can continue from a casual save
- PS2 folder memory cards from ARMSX2 are now detected, and sync respects your selected memory card
- Azahar saves in the standard custom user folder are found automatically
- Dual-screen: Y opens apps on the top screen, display swap is reliable, quick settings work in swapped mode
- Android games merge into one platform; FBNeo and MAME split into their own
Bug Fixes
- Restoring a PS2 save onto a fresh memory card left it invisible to the emulator
- The in-game save monitor missed a game's first-ever save
- Deleted save slots no longer resurrect from the server copy
- Fork builds of supported emulators (ARMSX2, Azahar variants) now resolve save paths and memory cards correctly
