Quicky PDF 1.0.2

Compress got a new engine.

• Every kind of image inside a PDF shrinks now: scans, screenshots, design-tool artwork including CMYK, images with transparency, and the transparency masks themselves. The old engine only handled plain photos, and files from scanners or design programs often did not shrink at all.
• Oversized images are resized to sane dimensions on the way through, which is where most of the savings come from.
• Text and vector drawings stay exactly as sharp as they were.

Quicky PDF 1.0.1

Signing got a full rework, and a file corruption bug is gone.

• Sign PDF takes several signatures and stamps in one pass. Each upload gets its own tile, and every placed mark can be sized and positioned on its own.
• Placed signatures and stamps keep their proportions instead of stretching to fit the box.
• Fixed saves that came out unreadable for PDFs produced by some converters, including LibreOffice. If Preview ever called a signed file damaged, this was why.
• Password-protected files are now refused up front with a pointer to Unlock PDF, instead of producing broken output.

The app updates itself: if you already run 1.0.1 or later it picks new versions up automatically. From 1.0.0, download this once and you are on the train.

First release of Quicky PDF for macOS.

Nineteen PDF tools in an application window, plus a viewer with a highlighter.
Everything runs on your own machine. Nothing is uploaded.

Which file do I want?

• Apple Silicon (M1 and later): Quicky-PDF-1.0.0-arm64.dmg
• Intel: Quicky-PDF-1.0.0-x64.dmg

If you are unsure, open the Apple menu, choose About This Mac, and look at the
Chip or Processor line.

Installing

Open the disk image and drag Quicky PDF to your Applications folder. Both builds
are signed and notarised by Apple, so there is no security warning to click past.

In Finder

Double-click a PDF to open it in Quicky PDF, or right-click one and look under
Quick Actions for Compress, Split, Sign, Protect and Merge.

Windows is not here yet.
