RushLink 0.1.2 - early alpha
RushLink 0.1.2 early alpha
Phone and tablet workspaces join the desktop app, with layouts that adapt to screen size and orientation.
- Phone dropdown navigation, swipeable overview/tone cards and dot pagination.
- Collapsible editing panels, quieter tablet navigation and touch-friendly controls.
- StageHand layout locking and minimal fullscreen performance controls. The button board stays within the available screen width and height, with internal scrolling for dense layouts.
- TonePilot is now ToneMod throughout the app.
- Wi-Fi NAM saving and complete audition-rig saving, with clearer save dialogs.
- Model .local hostnames are tried first; a saved IP remains available as fallback.
- Support me links to Ko-fi from the last navigation item.
Choose your download:
- Windows x64: EXE installer or MSI.
- macOS Apple Silicon: aarch64 DMG. Intel Mac: x64 DMG.
- Linux x64: Debian package or AppImage.
- Android phones/tablets: arm64-device APK (Android 7.0 or later, ARM64).
- Android PC emulator: x86_64-emulator APK. Phone/tablet layouts are included in both APKs.
- iPhone and iPad (iOS/iPadOS 15+): universal ios-iphone-ipad_unsigned IPA. Apple signing/provisioning is required before physical-device installation.
- Apple Silicon iOS Simulator: ios-simulator-arm64.app.zip. Runs in Apple simulators on a Mac; it is not a Windows or physical-device installer.
Early alpha: back up important rigs before use. Android APKs are debug-signed sideload previews, not Play Store packages. Windows installers are unsigned; Mac builds are ad-hoc signed and not notarized. The iPhone/iPad IPA is unsigned and is not ready for TestFlight or the App Store. Browser and automated build checks do not establish physical-device compatibility on every platform.
HeadRush communication remains Wi-Fi only. SHA256SUMS.txt covers all ten app packages. iPhone and iPad simulator startup checks, Android phone/tablet startup checks and phone/tablet layout regression tests were run; GitHub-hosted simulator checks do not verify connection to a physical HeadRush.
RushLink v0.1.1 early alpha
Early alpha desktop build. Back up important rigs before use.
- Fixed NAM downloads to send the model name in the format HeadRush expects. Saving now checks that the downloaded file is present and shows useful errors or confirmation.
- Added a save popup with a model name, NAM file or audition rig choice, and a destination browser starting at
Neural Amp Modeler/User. You can select existing NAM folders and subfolders. - Saving to
Neural Amp Modeler/Tone 3000works directly over Wi-Fi. Other destinations use a guided USB Transfer step: open USB Transfer on HeadRush, connect it to your computer, and select the mounted drive'sNeural Amp Modelerfolder. After copying, eject the drive and tap Sync on HeadRush. The original download is preserved. Existing destination files are kept; rename and retry if needed. - USB copying and the eject/Sync confirmation stay accessible when USB Transfer disconnects Wi-Fi.
- HeadRush does not provide a default volume setting for standalone NAM files. Save an audition rig to recall the current NAM output level with its effects.
Validation passed: 755 application tests with coverage thresholds met, two shuffled runs of all 755 tests, native tests on Windows, Linux, Apple Silicon macOS and Intel macOS, and 42 browser tests including the NAM save flow at desktop and phone sizes. Physical-device USB Transfer testing remains unverified.
Windows x64 installers are unsigned. Linux packages remain preview builds: GUI startup, device discovery, and live hardware interaction require Linux smoke testing; StageHand MIDI input depends on Web MIDI availability. RushLink is an unofficial companion and is not affiliated with HeadRush or inMusic.
macOS preview installers are included for Apple Silicon (RushLink_0.1.1_aarch64.dmg) and Intel (RushLink_0.1.1_x64.dmg). These builds are ad-hoc signed and have not been notarized by Apple; macOS may block or warn when opening them.
Both Mac builds passed native tests, release payload checks, packaged-app signature/version/architecture checks, DMG integrity checks, and SHA-256 verification. Mac GUI startup and live HeadRush interaction still need manual testing. Per-architecture checksum files are included with the downloads.
RushLink v0.1.0 early alpha
Early alpha desktop builds for Windows x64 and an experimental Linux x64 preview.
Important:
- Back up important rigs before use.
- The Windows installers are currently unsigned and may trigger Windows SmartScreen.
- RushLink supports HeadRush Prime, Flex Prime and Core; available functions can vary by device and firmware. Physical-device testing has been on Flex Prime.
Windows
Choose the setup EXE for the standard Windows installation, or the MSI for managed/manual installation. SHA-256 values are included in SHA256SUMS.txt.
Linux preview - x86-64
- Choose the
.debfor compatible Debian/Ubuntu-based systems, or try the.AppImage. The packages were built on Ubuntu 22.04; compatibility with every Linux distribution is not guaranteed. - Before launching the AppImage, mark it executable:
chmod +x RushLink_0.1.0_amd64.AppImage. - Linux SHA-256 values are in
SHA256SUMS-linux-x64.txt. The Windows checksum file is unchanged. - Automated application and native Linux tests passed. Linux GUI startup, rendering, discovery and live HeadRush operation still need hands-on testing.
- If
.localdiscovery fails, enter the numeric LAN address of your HeadRush device in connection settings. - External MIDI/Bluetooth MIDI input availability depends on the Linux webview and is not verified.
This remains an early alpha. Please report your Linux distribution and any startup, display or connection issues.
