Awesome Codex Theme v0.3.0

v0.3.0 ships the repaired Apply & Keep Full Skin flow. It is the first
versioned release after the 0.3.0-alpha.* series.

What is fixed

  • Apply & Keep Full Skin now saves the selected skin before it asks the
    persistent controller to launch or safely restart the exact Codex target.
    A normally running app no longer causes a premature generic “Could not apply
    the Full Skin” result.
  • Theme Manager waits for an active runtime receipt before displaying
    success, and keeps the useful backend diagnostic in the error message.
  • The macOS confirmation uses an in-app, keyboard-accessible consent panel
    instead of a browser dialog that can fail to appear in WKWebView.
  • macOS discovery now supports both current ChatGPT names and legacy
    Codex.app / Codex Beta.app names, validates the exact bundle and
    executable, and has a controlled executable fallback when LaunchServices
    does not start the requested app.
  • Controller state handling now preserves terminal retry errors instead of
    replacing them with a misleading timeout.

Verification completed before release

  • Full repository validation passed: 53 themes, 106 light/dark modes,
    code-free package checks, capture records, 20 Node tests, 20 Rust tests, and
    the Pages build.
  • The Windows NSIS package was built locally and reports product version
    0.3.0.
  • The repaired persistent flow was tested against the exact ChatGPT Beta Store
    package OpenAI.CodexBeta_26.715.3651.0_x64__2p2nqsd0c76g0: a selected Full
    Skin remained active after Home → Pull requests → Home, and the test then
    removed the persistence entry and runtime cleanly.

Install only from this GitHub Release. On macOS, drag the app into
Applications before opening it. Select Apply & Keep Full Skin, choose
the exact ChatGPT/Codex target, and confirm the visible one-time consent.
Choose Restore Native to remove the skin and disable persistent replay.

Important platform note

Windows behavior above has an action-after real-app verification. The macOS
Apple Silicon and Intel packages are built and structurally checked on GitHub
macOS runners, but physical-Mac Full Skin apply, restore, and persistence
verification remains pending. Please report any macOS result with the manager
version, Mac CPU, target app/channel/version, and the full visible diagnostic.

This release includes Tauri updater signatures and ad-hoc macOS bundle
signatures. It does not include Windows Authenticode, Apple Developer ID, or
Apple notarization, so SmartScreen or Gatekeeper may still show an
unknown-publisher warning. Do not modify ChatGPT application files or disable
operating-system protections to proceed.

本次修复

  • 应用并保持完整皮肤 现在会先保存已选主题，再由持久化控制器负责启动或安全重启准确匹配的 Codex 目标。已正常运行的应用不会再过早返回笼统的“无法应用完整皮肤”。
  • Theme Manager 只有收到运行时 active 回执后才显示成功，并保留后端给出的具体诊断信息。
  • macOS 改为使用应用内、支持键盘操作的确认面板，不再依赖可能在 WKWebView 中不显示的浏览器确认框。
  • macOS 现在同时识别当前 ChatGPT 名称以及旧的 Codex.app / Codex Beta.app，校验准确的 App Bundle 与可执行文件；若 LaunchServices 没有真正启动目标应用，会使用受控的可执行文件回退路径。
  • 控制器会保留终止性重试错误，不再将其覆盖成误导性的超时状态。

发布前已完成的验证

  • 已通过全仓库校验：53 套主题、106 个明暗模式、无代码主题包检查、截图记录、20 个 Node 测试、20 个 Rust 测试和 Pages 构建。
  • 已在本地生成 Windows NSIS 安装包，并读回产品版本为 0.3.0。
  • 已使用准确的 ChatGPT Beta Store 包
    OpenAI.CodexBeta_26.715.3651.0_x64__2p2nqsd0c76g0 测试修复后的持久化流程：主题在首页 → Pull requests → 首页后仍然生效，测试结束后持久化入口和运行时都已清理。

请只从本 GitHub Release 下载。macOS 用户请先把应用拖入 Applications，再打开 Theme Manager。选择准确的 ChatGPT/Codex 目标后点击应用并保持完整皮肤，并确认可见的一次性提示。想恢复原始界面时，点击恢复原生，它也会关闭持久化重放。

重要的平台说明

Windows 已完成动作后的真实应用验证。macOS Apple Silicon 与 Intel 包会在 GitHub 的 macOS Runner 上构建并进行结构检查，但真实 Mac 上的完整皮肤应用、恢复和持久化验证仍待完成。若 macOS 上出现问题，请反馈 Theme Manager 版本、Mac CPU、目标应用/渠道/版本，以及界面显示的完整诊断。

本版本包含 Tauri updater 签名和 macOS ad-hoc 包签名，但暂未包含 Windows Authenticode、Apple Developer ID 或 Apple notarization。因此 SmartScreen 或 Gatekeeper 仍可能显示未知发布者提示。请不要通过修改 ChatGPT 应用文件或关闭系统安全保护来绕过问题。
