First public test build of 30 Seconds Ago.

30 Seconds Ago is a lightweight replay-buffer app built for the AYN Thor dual-screen handheld. It is designed to sit on the bottom screen while you play, letting you save recent gameplay as an MP4 clip.

What works

  • Replay dashboard with large Capture Replay, Start, and Stop buttons
  • Saves recent gameplay from an in-memory replay buffer
  • Configurable replay length
  • Video quality presets:
    • 720p30 Low
    • 720p30 Standard
    • 720p60 Smooth
    • 1080p30
    • 1080p60 High
  • Adjustable bitrate
  • Optional internal audio capture
  • Saved clips list inside the app
  • Custom save folder support
  • Custom filename templates
  • Optional saved-clip popup for the Thor bottom screen
  • Configurable hardware replay trigger
  • Cleaner responsive UI for the Thor dual-screen layout

Tester notes

This is an early test build. Please test:

  • Whether replay clips save correctly
  • Whether clips are close to the selected replay length
  • Whether the end of the replay is preserved when pressing Capture Replay
  • Whether internal audio works in your games/emulators
  • Whether the hardware replay trigger works with your chosen button
  • Whether the saved notification appears on the correct Thor screen

Known limitations

  • Android screen capture permission is required when starting the replay buffer.
  • Some games or emulators may block internal audio capture.
  • Some hardware/system buttons may not be visible to Android apps.
  • The replay may be slightly over the selected length because the app saves from the nearest safe video keyframe.
