Your day at a glance, without opening the app. OpenStrap 2.1 brings home screen widgets, drawn in the same light and dots as the app.
Home screen widgets
- Five widgets, three sizes each. Every widget comes in Small (2×2), Wide (4×2) and Large (4×3), so any of them can share a stack.
- Moment follows your day the way Today's lead card does: waking, midday, your usual workout time, during and after a workout, evening and night. When you've placed a widget for the metric it would lead with, it shows something else instead.
- Recovery with your score, what it means and how the week went.
- Steps with today's count, a line filling to your goal and the week.
- Sleep with your score, time asleep and the time in each stage.
- Start a workout with your usual sport one tap away and your next four beside it. While you record it shows a live timer, and Paused when you pause.
- Strap status on every widget. A small round button beside the title shows when the strap isn't paired, its battery is low, the last sync is old or a sync is running. Tap an old sync to sync right there, without opening the app.
- Real previews in the widget picker, with a line saying what each widget shows.
- Stays current on its own. Widgets refresh when a sync ends, a workout starts or ends, the strap changes and at midnight. Moment changes on time through the day, and its minute counts move on only while the screen is on, so they don't wake your phone.
- Built for battery and speed. Widgets draw on their own thread, so the app stays smooth while they refresh.
Changes
- "Goal met" is now the wording everywhere a goal is reached, in the app and on widgets.
Fixes
- The app no longer closes on launch when the Bluetooth permission was never granted or was taken back in Settings.
