There are ideas for Processing Foundation Fellowships, which includes Processing, p5.js, Processing.py, Processing for Android, and other potential initiatives related to the core mission of the Processing Foundation.
You do not need to propose something from this list, we are looking for your new ideas. However, if you are searching for ideas this will hopefully help you get started.
Priorities:
- Community and diversity initiatives: we are very interested in any project that involves reaching new audiences, or makes getting involved with these platforms more welcoming and inclusive.
- Education resources, tutorials, examples, teacher outreach.
- Working on the p5.js community video. While at the p5.js contributors conference, we recorded video of the participants reading the community statement we drafted together. We are now in the process of editing and compositing an interactive video and could use help coordinating, coding, and shooting more footage.
- Last summer, GSOC student Maya Man began work on a new, internationalized p5js.org website. The next step is to help coordinate some translate-a-thons and work with volunteers in various countries to translate the website content to be integrated into the new site.
- Translation infrastructure for Processing and p5
- Processing.py documentation and web work
- Projects that expand the IDEs and documentation for accessibility
- p5.js documentation and web work
- Education tools, for example classroom management tool for easy submission, sharing, and review of sketches
Other ideas:
- Link in a browser to open a Processing or p5.js project in the IDEs
- GUI library for p5.js with CSS
- Rita library extensions and documentation (short book)
- Shader editor PDE tool
- p5.js 3D wizard
- Processing for Android work
- Projection Mapping
- Face Tracker library
- Physics library
- Toxiclibs documentation and revival
- Processing Tool for syntax highlighting that uses the same format as http://colorsublime.com/
- Augmented Live coding experience with projected table and syntax cards. Would be great in museums and such
