SBeacon SDK Documentation

Version 1.6.13

Welcome to the SBeacon SDK documentation for Android. This SDK enables your Android application to communicate with SBeacon Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) devices for trip tracking, driving behavior analysis, and incident detection.

Features

  • Trip Tracking: Automatic detection of trip start/end with status monitoring
  • Driving Behavior Analysis: Real-time detection of harsh acceleration, braking, and cornering
  • Incident Detection: Automatic collision/accident detection with detailed event data
  • Beacon Management: Scan, pair, and manage SBeacon devices
  • Data Synchronization: Retrieve trip records, incidents, and driving behavior events from beacon storage

Quick Start

// 1. Initialize the SDK in your Application class
class MyApp : Application() {

    fun configureBLEFramework() {
        with(iBFPrefUtil.getInstance(applicationContext)) {
            requiredBluetoothManagers = listOf("SBeaconManager")
            saveString(SharedConstants.PREFERENCES_CONFIG_TYPE, ConfigType.BLE.name)
        }
        BLEManager.retrieveInstance(applicationContext).startForegroundBluetoothService()
    }
}

// 2. Scan for beacons
val bleManager = BLEManager.retrieveInstance(context)
bleManager.startBeaconsScan()

// 3. Pair a beacon
bleManager.pairBeacon(beacon, subscriptionId = 0, serialNumber = "")

// 4. Subscribe to events
private val eventsReceiver = object : IBFHelper.EventsReceiver() {
    override fun onTripStatusChanged(status: String) {
        // Handle trip status change
    }

    override fun onRealTimeDrivingBehaviorEvent(
        beaconMac: String,
        eventType: DrivingBehaviorType,
        timestamp: Long
    ) {
        // Handle real-time driving event
    }
}

// Register in onResume
override fun onResume() {
    super.onResume()
    IBFHelper.registerEventsReceiver(requireContext(), eventsReceiver)
}
