Prerelease for macOS, Windows and Linux — see the macos, windows and linux tags. First Linux release.

Downloaded county data is now drawn. Layers fetched on the Data screen (State Wildlife Areas, Walk-In Access, State Trust Land, GMUs, WGFD hunt and access areas) can be switched on in the Layers tab and appear on the map, in the Preview and in the exported PDF, using each layer's own colours and opacity slider. Layers that need a download stay disabled until they have been downloaded.

Fixes map overlays not drawing in the packaged app. MapLibre's worker couldn't be located from the app's tauri:// origin, so GeoJSON overlays (including the print-area outline) silently failed.

Known limitation: downloaded layers use their fixed style; they aren't yet classified into land-access categories.

Downloads

  • macOS: …-macos-universal.dmg — universal (arm64 + x86_64), macOS 12+. Unsigned/not notarized, so Gatekeeper requires right-click → Open on first launch.

  • Windows: …-windows-x64-setup.exe — x86_64 NSIS installer, installs per-user (no Administrator prompt). Unsigned, so SmartScreen warns on first run — choose More info → Run anyway.

  • Linux (x86_64) — pick one:

    • …-linux-amd64.deb — Ubuntu 22.04+, Debian 12+, Mint, Pop!_OS: sudo apt install ./Hunting-Map-Generator-0.0.5-linux-amd64.deb
    • …-linux-x86_64.rpm — Fedora, RHEL/Rocky/Alma 9+, openSUSE: sudo dnf install ./Hunting-Map-Generator-0.0.5-linux-x86_64.rpm
    • …-linux-x86_64.flatpak — any distribution with Flatpak (GNOME 51 runtime, fetched from Flathub on install): flatpak install --user ./Hunting-Map-Generator-0.0.5-linux-x86_64.flatpak
    • …-linux-x86_64.AppImage — any distribution, no install: chmod +x and run (needs FUSE 2 / libfuse2). If the window is blank, launch with WEBKIT_DISABLE_DMABUF_RENDERER=1.
