Marvel Champions Digital v1.1.1 (Trickster Takeover Fixes)
Marvel Champions Digital v1.1.1
Application version: 1.1.1r
Windows file version: 1.1.1.0
This release contains the corrections completed after v1.1.0. The full v1.1.0 release description is appended below so this file remains a cumulative description of the build.
Changes since v1.1.0
Trickster Takeover
- Enchantress III now places a charm counter after she attacks, matching her printed forced response.
- Stories and Lies now preserves Loki's current remaining hit points when swapping to another physical Avatar card. Attached Intense Focus and Total Focus modifiers are reapplied once to the new Avatar's maximum hit points without duplicating the bonus.
- Loki's Synergy environments now add their printed 4 damage or 4 threat removal to the attack or thwart event itself, so the bonus resolves correctly with defenses and other event modifiers.
- Corrected the printed Crisis and Acceleration icons on the affected Loki side schemes.
Deck importing and interface
- MarvelCDB imports now use the returned identity card code instead of relying only on the shared hero name. This distinguishes T'Challa from Shuri for Black Panther decks and Peter Parker from Miles Morales for Spider-Man decks.
- Identity-code imports no longer emit a false missing-file warning before resolving the matching starter template.
- Blindfold and other ordered encounter-card selections now preserve the displayed encounter-deck order when cards are returned.
- Attack-card animation cleanup no longer allows a pending browser animation frame to reapply a movement transform after the animation has already completed.
Targeting and stability
- Forced abilities on player-assigned obligations now resolve through the player holding the obligation. This fixes Protect Humanity freezing when its villain attack is redirected to an ally.
- Added regression coverage for same-name MarvelCDB identities, Loki Avatar swaps, Synergy bonuses, side-scheme icons, and obligation targeting.
Build and data integrity
- Regenerated the card-database checksum after the final Trickster Takeover data corrections.
- Release tooling now supports standard, no-archive, and locally compiled PyInstaller bootloader comparison builds.
- This v1.1.1 test package uses the Python 3.12 one-folder layout, disables UPX, excludes developer-only command modules, and uses the locally compiled PyInstaller bootloader flow used for the final v1.1.0 Windows package.
Windows package verification
The v1.1.1 Windows package uses the locally compiled PyInstaller bootloader build flow.
- Microsoft Defender custom scan: Undetected.
- VirusTotal report for the exact executable: 1/70, with only SecureAge's generic detection; Microsoft is undetected.
- Executable SHA-256:

- Extract the ZIP into a new, empty folder rather than overwriting an older installation.
- Copy
campaign_settings.jsonfrom the previous build if you want to retain campaign setup choices. - Copy any personal saves, replays, or custom decks you want to test. Do not copy the old executable,
public,data,assets/cache, orlaunch.json. - Smoke-test both a new game and an existing save before relying on the build for a longer campaign.

- Corrected Groot and Rocket Raccoon's hero/alter-ego image-side mappings when loading artwork from Cerebro.
- Improved scenario/save migration behavior for newly completed content and corrected Loki's Shatter-counter damage total.

Marvel LCG Digital v1.0.0.5 (Community Build & Clean Windows Package)
This release adds the latest Hercules and Teamwork fixes and introduces a distinctly labeled, antivirus-conscious Windows package for the community-maintained build.
Gameplay fixes
- Restored Ancient Rivalry's missing Team-Up registration so it can be played while Hercules and Thor are both in play.
- Corrected Teamwork and similar matching-power effects on assault schemes so the ally's ATK is added to the hero's ATK for that basic thwart.
- Linked the Hercules and Wonder Man reprints of Call for Backup and Bombs Away to their original implementations, and consolidated every Teamwork reprint on the original script.
- Added regression coverage for the Team-Up requirement, assault-aware matching powers, and player-card reprint mappings.
Community Build identity
- The main menu now identifies the application as Community Build v1.0.0.5r and requests the running application's live version instead of displaying a stale cookie.
- The Windows executable now contains Community Build product, publisher, file-version, and description metadata.
Antivirus and Windows packaging change
The original development-team Windows executable used PyInstaller's single-file format. That format extracts its embedded runtime into a temporary folder when launched, a behavior that can contribute to generic or Trojan-style heuristic detections and can make reports for the upstream executable appear to apply to later community releases.
v1.0.0.5 is instead packaged as a Python 3.12 PyInstaller one-folder (onedir) application, with UPX disabled. Its runtime is visible in the adjacent _internal directory rather than self-extracted to a temporary directory. Developer-only source-editing and arbitrary debug-command modules are excluded from the public executable.
The exact files attached to this release are the same files that were tested before publication; they were not rebuilt afterward:
- Microsoft Defender: no threats found for both
marvel-lcg.exeand the release ZIP. - VirusTotal report for the exact executable
- Executable SHA-256:
db4cd4e71296a4de9f90bf2da712c0e767d2ff7c0f865d8258763d398cb1709e - ZIP SHA-256:
af6944dd33eb9e50b75042c85dd35b6f7d4f5b8f53391c31d43655a2743e7d47
The executable is currently unsigned, so Windows SmartScreen may still display an unknown-publisher or reputation warning even when antivirus scanners report the file as clean.
Installation / updating
- Extract v1.0.0.5 into a new, empty folder. Do not extract it over an older installation.
- Keep
marvel-lcg.exebeside its_internaldirectory; both are required by the new one-folder package. - Copy
campaign_settings.jsonfrom your old build folder into the new build folder, replacing the destination if prompted. - Copy any personal saves, replays, and custom decks you want to retain. Do not copy the old executable,
_internal,public,data,assets/cache, orlaunch.json.
This is a community prerelease build. Card artwork is downloaded on demand and is not included in the archive.

Interface, hotseat, and loading improvements
- Improved MarvelCDB deck imports by selecting heroes from the returned hero name and preserving non-hero cards in campaign decks that intentionally violate normal deckbuilding validation.
- Updated Enter and Escape hotkeys to respect the active prompt, disabled buttons, card-selection steps, and cancellation state.
- Prevented duplicate submissions while a choice or cost request is already being posted.
- Improved hotseat prompt ownership so the interface focuses the player bound to the returned choice instead of relying on stale waiting-player state.
- Corrected right-click and hover behavior when hotseat rendering replaces a card without generating a new mouse-enter event.
- Corrected transformed-board pointer hit testing so visible cards receive clicks even when an empty 3D camera plane overlaps them.
- Added reliable no-cache headers, a complete browser cache-clear response, and version parameters for static and dynamic JavaScript imports.
- Added MarvelCDB as a fallback card-image server, stopped empty placeholder responses from being cached as downloaded art, and improved generated missing-image placeholders.
- Increased the application build number to 0.5.9.202.
Card interaction speed setting
- Replaced the old raw animation-time control with a labeled Card speed slider ranging from 0.25× to 2×.
