CASA and ALMA issues

The official CASA known issues page and the Knowledgebase are not comprehensive, so I'm keeping a running list of additional issues I'm aware of.

CASA 4.7.2 and earlier:

The excludechans option in uvcontsub does not always work.

The bandwidths output by listobs are not always correct. I was told this will be fixed in CASA 5.0.0.

I've been informed by the helpdesk that the spwmap option in the applycal task doesn't actually work under certain circumstances. In particular, nominally spwmap is supposed to be designed such that one should be able to create a calibration table based on a full measurement set, split out a particular window, then apply the calibration table to that window (this is something that might be desirable if one self-calibrates on the continuum and then wants to apply those solutions to a particular line. Unfortunately, this only appears to be feasible if the line comes from SPW 0.

CASA 4.7.2: I have a long-running help desk ticket about tclean in CASA 4.7.x. The point is, I don't trust it and do not recommend using it.
