Long Baseline progress

Sean Andrews edited this page Oct 6, 2017 · 64 revisions

This is a real-time tracking of our program's progress in long-baseline observations. For each target, we requested 2 execution blocks (EB). These were nominally going to be done in one of two configurations (with half the targets done in one, and the other half in another), but the late arrival in the long-baseline configurations means its more haphazard. The C40-8 and C40-9 configurations were done in September at the end of Cycle 4. The C43-10 configuration is ongoing in Cycle 5; it will shift back to C43-9 around October 21, then to C43-8 in November.

The preliminary images are presented as a courtesy of the NAASC. They are often from a single EB, and have not been self-calibrated or optimized in any way. What we come up with should eventually be somewhat better.
