Learning Hub › Process Engineering
This wiki holds the explanations, job aids, and philosophy that apply across all capstone-like projects under this hub — the "how and why" behind the work, organized by topic. For project background, mission, the fictional-scenario disclaimer, and the list of projects, see the Process Engineering hub.
Pages are grouped into three major areas. Each area may grow many subtopic pages over time — this page is the index; individual pages hold the depth.
Job aids and philosophy for identifying, mapping, and communicating with stakeholders throughout a project — not just at kickoff.
- Stakeholder Identification & Mapping (coming soon) — power/interest mapping and how to use it before broad communication goes out
- Relational vs. Transactional Communication (coming soon) — why 1:1 pre-briefs come before group summits, not after
-

@nameconvention - Decision & Evaluation Criteria (coming soon) — setting criteria before a decision meeting, not during or after
How the work itself is structured, tracked, and documented across a project's lifecycle.
- Milestone Template (in progress) — the shared 10-milestone structure, engagement-checkpoint milestones, and how projects may adapt it
- Software Selection & Management of Change (coming soon) — resolving plant-process MOC vs. simulation-software MOC scope per project
-
Flowsheet Version Changelog Format (coming soon) — the
V####versioning convention and the wiki changelog table format - Documentation & Governance Habits (coming soon) — keeping a running decision trail instead of a single end-of-project writeup
Reference material and job aids for the engineering work itself.
- BFD/PFD Conventions (coming soon)
- Flowsheet Modeling Practices (coming soon)
- Model Validation Approach (coming soon)
- Economic Analysis & Optimization Basics (coming soon)
This index will be updated as subtopic pages are added. If you're looking for project-specific technical detail (e.g. MogasDebenz's benzene/C7 boiling-point rationale), check that project's own wiki first — this hub's Technical section covers only what's common across projects.
