2. Copy the JSON file(s) into %LocalAppData%\AGS\Themes
3. File -> Preferences -> Color Theme -> pick a theme
4. Restart the editor

GitHub Themes for Adventure Game Studio Editor

Unofficial community port of GitHub's VS Code themes (Primer) for the Adventure Game Studio Editor.

This is not an official GitHub or Primer release. Colors follow Primer dark/light default tokens.

Install

1. Place the JSON file(s) in %LocalAppData%\AGS\Themes
2. In AGS: File -> Preferences -> Color Theme
3. Choose GitHub Dark or GitHub Light
4. Restart the editor

Origins & licensing

• Original: primer/github-vscode-theme - MIT License
• AGS theme JSON: port by selloa (2026), based on Primer GitHub Dark Default / Light Default palettes

When redistributing, include the original MIT notice for the GitHub VS Code theme / Primer, and credit selloa for the AGS Editor mapping.

Notes

AGS theme JSON only stores a display name / version for humans; the editor ignores them as metadata. Credit and license details live in this README.
