Offline DAoC 0.33 "Claude Takeover" — classic classes only
Offline DAoC 0.33 "Claude Takeover", classic classes only
The same complete game as v0.33b, with no custom class: only the original Classic + Shrouded Isles classes, for you and the bots. The helper downloads the shared game parts from the v0.33b release and switches this copy to the classic class list.
How to install
- Turn on the Windows feature .NET Framework 3.5 (how).
- Download DOWNLOAD-AND-PLAY-v0.33.cmd and Get-OfflineDAoC.ps1 from this page into the same new, empty folder.
- Double-click the
.cmdfile. It downloads the game (about 5 GB, checked part by part) into a newplayable-v0.33folder, and never overwrites an existing game. - Open that folder and run START OFFLINE DAOC.cmd → START SERVER → wait for RUNNING → ENTER REALM.
Your own local account is created the first time. The world starts empty; create bots from each realm's card in the launcher.
You need a 64-bit Windows PC with an AVX2 CPU, 16 GB RAM (recommended) and about 20 GB of free space.
Coming from an older version? Run IMPORT PROGRESS FROM OLD OFFLINE DAOC.cmd in the new folder to bring over your account, characters, items, money, houses and bots. Your old folder is not changed. Transfer guide.
What's new in 0.33
- One complete download with two editions: 0.33b (with the Sluaghbinder) and 0.33 (classic classes only).
- Your own account, world and settings on every install. The .NET runtime is bundled.
- A progress transfer tool for v0.3 through v0.32b and the "new class test" builds.
- Smarter bots, with far less lag at thousands of bots:
- stuck pulls retried and abandoned properly for every class
- ranged bots that close in instead of standing still
- Savages with claws that actually fight
- starter camps for new bots
- groups of 5–7 when a full party can't be found
- Sluaghbinder (0.33b):
- new pet art
- a void blast attack for the zombie magician
- healing AI for the zombie priest
- a pet health rebalance
- the black and blood-red Blood Shield on Cairn armor buffs
- 10-second summons with green hand glows
- unique zombie guardian weapons
- proper tooltips
- Everyone: a unique Necroservant hammer and shield, and faces showing under every Hibernian "Helm 3" helmet.
Full notes: RELEASE-0.33.md. Verification: RELEASE VERIFICATION.txt.
Darkness Falls stays beta: raid AI isn't implemented, and the hardest encounters are left out of bot goals. Older releases (v0.3–v0.32b) remain available.
