Offline DAoC 0.34b "Claude Takeover II", with the Sluaghbinder

The complete single-player game, including the custom Hibernian Sluaghbinder class for players and bots. If you don't want a custom class, use v0.34 instead; it's the same game otherwise.

How to install

  1. Turn on the Windows feature .NET Framework 3.5 (how).
  2. Download DOWNLOAD-AND-PLAY-v0.34b.cmd and Get-OfflineDAoC.ps1 from this page into the same new, empty folder.
  3. Double-click the .cmd file. It downloads the game (about 5 GB, checked part by part) into a new playable-v0.34b folder, and never overwrites an existing game.
  4. Open that folder and run START OFFLINE DAOC.cmd → START SERVER → wait for RUNNING → ENTER REALM.

Your own local account is created the first time. The world starts empty; create bots from each realm's card in the launcher, which shows VERSION 0.34b.
You need a 64-bit Windows PC with an AVX2 CPU, 16 GB RAM (recommended) and about 20 GB of free space.

Coming from 0.33, 0.33b or an older version? Run IMPORT PROGRESS FROM OLD OFFLINE DAOC.cmd in the new folder to bring over your account, characters, items, money, houses and bots. Your old folder is not changed. Transfer guide.

What's new in 0.34

  • Bounty Masters: normal, hard (about +6 levels) and very hard (about +12) bounties, with 5–20 kills and bigger XP and gear rewards for the harder ones.
  • Bots fight like players: gamebots and companions parry, block and evade with the player rules.
  • Smarter class play:
    • Shamans fight as hybrids.
    • Animists plant shrooms by role.
    • Tanks use instant taunts.
    • Every stacking damage over time is used.
    • Melee bots no longer rubberband.
  • Companions:
    • Pets hold one target and finish their casts.
    • Pet heals go to the most injured ally.
    • Ranged companions close in.
    • Bots never wear gear from another realm's model.
  • Gamebots:
    • Unreachable and grey camps are left.
    • Camps are weighted by size.
    • Deadly camps and routes are avoided.
    • Shrouded Isles towns are open to bots.
    • Bot saves are spread evenly.
  • Raids and RvR:
    • Epic dungeon raids rejoin stranded bots.
    • Dragons land properly.
    • Level 50 raids start at 180 of 200 bots.
    • RvR leaders come from near the border keep.
    • Siege bots no longer freeze.
  • Shrouded Isles reputation: an emissary in each realm with a repeatable reputation hunt.
  • Sluaghbinder:
    • The Dubh Sluagh level 50 armor set, with the Cairnbreaker mace, the Cairnfire Aegis shield and the Reaper of the Host scythe.
    • The ghastly healer replaces the zombie priest.
    • Bulwark taunts cost power and share a recast, and the new Barrow Deflection parry buffs replace Cairn Ward.
    • Spells cost power only, drains share a recast and play a drain animation.
    • Green Cairn buffs.
  • Everyone:
    • Bonedancer commander shields show.
    • Charm menu tags each creature Caster, Archer or Melee.
    • More helmets are visible.
    • Invisible vine monsters now show.
    • The Realm Exchanges in Jordheim and Camelot have moved to open spots.
    • Many world fixes.

Overview: RELEASE-0.34.md. Every change: CHANGELOG.md. Verification: RELEASE VERIFICATION.txt.

Darkness Falls stays beta: raid AI isn't implemented, and the hardest encounters are left out of bot goals. Older releases (v0.3–v0.33b) remain available, and each keeps its source on its own branch and tag.
