Privacy & Safety: Our Promise to You

We built My Treasure Chest with one goal in mind: to be a fun, simple, and completely safe tool for kids to learn about money. Your privacy and your child's safety are not just features; they are the foundation of this app.

Here is our simple, transparent promise to you:

1. We Collect ZERO Personal Information

This app does not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal information.

• No Servers, No Databases: We do not run any servers that store your data. We have no database of our users.
• No Tracking: The app contains no third-party analytics, no advertising (ad) trackers, and no tracking pixels. We do not know who you are, how you use the app, or what your balance is.
• On-Device Logging Only: The app uses Apple's native OSLog framework. This is a standard tool for on-device-only debugging. These logs stay on your device and are not sent to us or any third party.

2. Your Data Stays Yours (Thanks to iCloud)

The only "online" feature of this app is its integration with Apple's CloudKit.

• You Are in Control: Data sync is handled privately and securely by your own Apple iCloud account.
• We Have No Access: All your data (like your name, transactions, and currency choice) is synced only to your personal, encrypted iCloud storage. We, the developers, cannot see, access, or read any of it.
• It's a Backup, Not a Collection: This feature is purely for your convenience, allowing you to back up your data and sync it between your own devices (like an iPhone and an iPad). If you turn off iCloud, the app works perfectly fine 100% offline.

3. Designed for Kids (Ages 6+)

The app is designed to be a perfect "first money tracker" for kids aged 6 to 8 and older. The experience is tailored to be simple, encouraging, and easy to understand.

• Simple Concepts: We don't use complex financial jargon. The app is built around the easy-to-grasp concepts of "Money In" (deposits) and "Money Out" (spending).
• Clear, Simple Interface: The app uses large text, clear buttons, and friendly emojis to make navigation intuitive for early readers.
• Engaging & Fun: To keep kids engaged, the app includes fun, encouraging messages and provides a new kid-friendly "dad joke" on launch.
• Safety First: Features like overdraft protection (you can't spend more than you have) and a triple-confirmation for deleting all data are built-in to create a safe learning environment.

4. 100% Kid-Safe & Appropriate Content

This app was designed from the ground up to be a safe digital space for children.

• No Mature Content: There is absolutely no violence, mature themes, or inappropriate language.
• Kid-Friendly Fun: The built-in jokes are all classic, kid-friendly "dad jokes" (e.g., "What do you call a fake noodle? An impasta!").
• Witty, Not Risky: The onboarding and all text in the app are encouraging and fun, like "Tip: Don’t spend it all on bubblegum!".

5. A Purely Self-Contained Experience

• No Advertisements: The app contains zero ads. Your child will never be marketed to or shown commercial content.
• No In-App Purchases (IAP): There are no "premium" features, loot boxes, or anything to buy within the app. All features are included.
• No External Links: The app does not link out to any websites, social media, or other apps where your child could be exposed to unknown content.

In short, My Treasure Chest is a closed, safe environment. What you enter in the app, stays on your device and in your private iCloud account, and nowhere else.
