What's New

• PaddleOCR engine — optional high-accuracy OCR engine, available as a checkbox in Settings. Significantly more accurate than Windows OCR on small and low-contrast text.
  • Trade-offs: ~5-6 seconds extra per capture, ~600 MB RAM (vs ~150 MB with default Windows OCR)
  • Default is OFF — Windows OCR remains the default for speed
  • Engine pre-loads in background when enabled so first capture is faster
  • Works alongside Enhanced OCR (image preprocessing) for best results
