Apple TV

Since version 1.3 aMule Remote runs natively on Apple TV (tvOS 17 or later, Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K). It uses the same EC engine as the other apps, with an interface designed for the Siri Remote and a big screen: few large rows, every row is a button, actions in a sheet.

Getting the app

Open the App Store on the Apple TV and search for aMule Remote, or find it in Purchased if you already have the iPhone/iPad/Mac app (universal purchase).

First launch

Version 1.4.2 or later (1.4 and 1.3 shipped without the iCloud entitlements on tvOS, and in 1.4.1 the Restore button could not be reached with the remote) opens with a short guided introduction: the sections, the Siri Remote gestures, the demo mode, then iCloud sync — if a backup of your server profiles exists in your iCloud account the app offers to restore it right there — and a last page about notifications (informational only on tvOS). You can skip it and replay it later from Settings → About → Show the introduction again.

Connecting without typing

Typing on a TV is slow, so the app avoids it wherever possible:

1. On your iPhone (or Mac App Store app) turn on More → App settings → Sync profiles with iCloud.
2. Open aMule Remote on the Apple TV: the connection screen shows Restore N server profiles from iCloud. Select it — profiles and passwords (iCloud Keychain) arrive, and the focus jumps to Connect.
3. Turn on Connect automatically at launch once: from then on the app opens straight into the transfers.

If you prefer to type: the host field uses the URL keyboard, the port the numeric one, and the password field is followed by a Show password row (since 1.4.2; in 1.4.1 the eye button in the same row swallowed the select press and the keyboard never opened). With an iPhone nearby, iOS shows the "Apple TV Keyboard" notification — type on the phone, or dictate with Siri by holding the microphone button. Since 1.4 these fields keep the keyboard's provisional text correctly (in 1.3 each new character could replace the previous one).

Sections

Transfers	Download queue with progress bar (colored by state), speed, sources, priority, ETA. Select a row → Resume / Pause / Stop / Priority… / Delete. Press Play/Pause on the Siri Remote to pause or resume the highlighted download. Buttons at the top: Add eD2k link, Pause all / Resume all, Remove completed.
Search	Search field with a Search button (on-screen keyboard, dictation, iPhone keyboard — fixed in 1.4), Local / Global (server) switch, progress bar and Stop. Results already in your transfers are red, already downloaded files are green. Select a result → Download.
Servers	Server list with users, files and ping; select a server → Connect / Remove. Buttons for eD2k connect/disconnect, Kad start/stop and reload.
Statistics	Speeds, limits, networks, transfers and the aMule server version, same sections as the other platforms.
Settings	Active profile, appearance, language, App color (1.4), Sync profiles with iCloud, Disconnect, About (version, author, MIT license, wiki, report a problem, privacy — shown as text, since the Apple TV has no browser — and Show the introduction again).

Offline mode

When you leave the app (Home button, another app) the connection is closed and the data stays on screen under an Offline banner; when you come back, the app reconnects by itself (or select Reconnect). There is no idle timer on tvOS.

What is not on the Apple TV

• Notifications: tvOS shows no banners to apps, so the Notifications row is not offered (the introduction only explains them).
• Face ID / Touch ID lock, Shared files, the remote amule.conf editor and the Server log stay on the other platforms.
• App-icon quick actions do not exist on tvOS; the Top Shelf shows the app artwork. Siri and Shortcuts actions, however, are available on tvOS since 1.4 (status, speeds, pause/resume, add link, search, eD2k/Kad controls).

Demo mode

Select Try the demo mode under the Connect button (or use DEMO / DEMO) to explore the TV interface with sample data, without a server.
