How the Title IX Gap is Calculated

- How many full-time students are enrolled in the school?
- How many students are female?
- How many students are male?
- Divide the number of female students by total students (%)
- Divide the number of male students by total students (%)
- What is the total number of athletes on all teams at the school?
- How many athletes are female?
- How many athletes are male?
- Divide the number of female athletes by total athletes (%)
- Divide the number of male athletes by total athletes (%)
Subtract the percent of female athletes from the percent of female students enrolled.
The difference, if there is one, is the Title IX gap.
